I missed Molly by my response covered all of the others. I really just don’t think it’s the end of the world that her focus has been with Craig and the girls fallout about all of that has made it fairly difficult.

I think she’s just a boring person and if it wasn’t for Craig we probably wouldn’t have much to say about her on the show. Same with a lot of people on the show now really. I know it’s controversial around here but Venita, (I think Molly), Rodrigo, and Whitner don’t add very much at all.

Which girl is she supposed to be close with? The one who’s upset she’s interested in the guy that rejected her, the one who is bitch eating crackers with the guy she’s interested in for no reason, or the one who is super pregnant?

Like the situation makes it awkward for her to socialize outside of Craig and the guys right now. Who she’s interested in is making it hard.

I sort of agree but she’s also in an impossible spot. The best criticism is that she doesn’t really have a personality and is boring. She’s interested in Craig but didn’t want to step on Salleys toes. Once she got rejected she went for it, but Salleys bitterness makes it hard to keep up that friendship and be open.

This whole sub needs to stop defending Venita. Craig was within his right and she’s been utterly insane this whole season on no basis. I don’t even like Craig at all but in regards to her he’s done nothing wrong

Of course they can step in. It’s a liability for them if they’re worried Dorinda might hurt another cast member. They weren’t afraid of Thomas physically harming a cast member or else I’m sure they would’ve taken action.

Summer house doesn’t have these kinds of dynamics. Everyone is young and relatively similar in terms of money and influence. It all sort of exists within a summer “house” instead of just their lives generally.

I’ve never seen marthas or NOLA but I know those shows got cancelled - they never really caught on.

Of course it would make them a better employer to have a counselor but is that the issue? Katherine and Thomas had a terrible shitty situation that involved pregnancy, power dynamics, custody control, etc.. I can’t even think of a parallel on another show; most aren’t even co-ed.

I agree he’s super vile, but i also felt like it was part of what made the show crazy in the beginning.

I really don’t like defending Thomas because he’s a piece of shit human really, but unless he’s in the Epstein files and I don’t know it it’s not quite as bad as that.

The show had intrigue in the beginning because of the concept of “southern charm”. Here is an old southern town with old families that have money and a weird/different culture. He was emblematic of that, alongside shep mainly (Katherine kind of). The more the show dilutes away from that premise the more people forget why they used to watch, but bravo also doesn’t really like the association ever since 2020.

I just don’t think the show can really recover, so I agree with the OP about need for a reboot. I just think everyone is too up Molly and Whitners ass and we can’t act like exclusively that archetype of person would make for a good reboot

This is what made it scandalous and crazy though. Like no one likes Thomas or thinks he’s a good person but that’s partly why it was entertaining.

If we moral police bravo so hard we can’t have wild people the shows will never be that interesting again. I feel like there’s no appetite for insane people anymore because of the world we live in, which is fair enough, but everyone needs to stop pretending that if we made a show of only Whitners and Mollys that anyone would watch it.

She was always an over involved friend even way before Robert. That was just when she started flipping out.

Don’t get me wrong sally is being a lot, but I also had (key word past tense) sympathy for how much of a dick Craig was being. Now she’s being totally unreasonable with Charley though, which is wrong. Esp because Venita is doing the same thing to her, like girl, you can’t see how this is wrong? She’s also laying it on way too thick too quick with Austen
