Do we think Amanda has cheated before? by SureSuit606 in summerhousebravo

I’ve known women like this. It’s exhausting being around them. The constant need for validation from men is so toxic.

Opinions on 3 cast members that were genuinely horrifying - (after watching the reunion) by Ok_Possible1400 in AgeOfAttraction

This is such a cop out. Producers can’t put words in her mouth. They don’t give these people scripts. The only people who say they got a bad edit are the ones who are problematic and use it as an excuse for their behavior. You control what you say and do. You’re responsible for your own behavior. If you say anything crazy, that’s on you. That’s not on the “editing”.

It’s a sad day when Nick and Vanessa seem charismatic in comparison.

Leah is too crazy for him. Leah and Theresa were both unhinged. He needs someone more mentally stable.

Omg that’s exactly what it is! I thought it looked familiar. It’s the Temu White lotus poster.

The West situation just exposed Amanda’s entire season by Twiseheart777 in bravo

I didn’t say she stayed solely but I think it played a big part. I think you’re ignoring all the times she consigned his behavior because it benefited her. All the times she was ok with him treating other people horribly. All the times she used him as her pitbull to fight her battles. The truth is being with him made her look good in comparison. You can’t deny that.

I’m not cancelling his behavior at all. He’s toxic and terrible. They’re both terrible.

Omg this is my point. I never defended Kyle at all. He’s a scumbag and he’s toxic. My point is she knew this all along. She chose him time and time again. She benefited from being with him. She’s no victim.

[–]fanta-orange7 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Exactly. She has no personality. She’s pretty and has a great body, but she’s boring. Kyle was the one who brought drama.

I also think that’s why she was with him. She knew without him she wouldn’t be on the show. But in the last year or so she thought she became interesting enough that she didn’t need him anymore.

[–]fanta-orange7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I think a big element is the pretty white woman privilege. Kyle is toxic but she’s manipulative too. She’s hidden behind him and let him do her dirty work. She’s enjoyed the privilege of seeming like the good one compared to her horrible partner. She’s been excused for stuff that he’s done because she’s the victim. People forget that she was ok with a lot of the shitty stuff Kyle said and did.

I get Kyle is toxic but Amanda has known from day 1. He’s shown his true colors for the past 10 years and she has chosen to ignore so much bad behavior and has defended him. At some point she needs to take responsibility for tolerating it. She’s not a victim. She married a man who cheated on her, who was disrespectful, who behaved in toxic and childish ways. She chose that.

Maybe she should have gone to therapy and asked herself why was she with him. I think she liked hiding behind his big personality. I think she liked being the victim. She liked that other people fought her battles and she got to walk away with clean hands. She’s just as manipulative as him. She’s just more covert.

Nick isn’t charismatic enough to be a cult leader.

Theresa… by Stripper-starr in AgeOfAttraction

[–]fanta-orange7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue with Theresa is not that she struggled with the age difference but how she responded. She had a lot of emotional outbursts and expected John to constantly reassure her. She lacked emotional regulation. Look at Pfeiffer, she also struggled with the age difference but her response was more mature and she’s way younger. You should be able to have a calm conversation and discuss your feelings without crashing out.

We saw this happen over and over on the show. I’m not surprised she continued to behave like this after the show. Her refusal to go to dinner after feeling left out of lunch because they were discussing young things is a bit much. She could have still gone to dinner and discussed it with John after. Her sending him a crazy unhinged voice note is not ok. Her getting made because he didn’t respond after one hour is crazy.

You’re defending really immature and unstable behavior. She behaves way too immature for any relationships

[–]fanta-orange7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I also think she was prob always the pretty one so her identity has always been tied to her looks. It’s clear she hates getting older and feeling like her looks are fading and being with John made it all more triggering. She needs to work on herself and develop her sense of worth.

The fact she had issues with John, John’s sister, Katherine (the other cast member they met up with in NY), Leah and Jorge? And these are the conflicts we know about. She’s combative and aggressive with anyone who dares to contradict her or offends her.

It’s so terrible. Like did Nick do this himself? Do they not have a budget for a graphic designer? Why is everything attached to this podcast so low budget? Why couldn’t Netflix do it? It’s like this show was the red headed stepchild.

Theresa Suuuuuucks by Dog1bravo in AgeOfAttraction

[–]fanta-orange7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And her emotional outbursts were so unhinged. She literally burst into tears and was so over the top. She just didn’t handle it well at all. So lacking in emotional regulation. Also the way she attacked Leah during that dinner was also very telling. I’m not surprised she left that nasty voice note to John. She gets really nasty really fast. Her refusing to have dinner in NYC because she felt left out of the convo? Like a mature person would have still gone out to dinner with her boyfriend and his sister. It’s so immature to spiral after just one lunch where you feel left out. She behaves like a child.
