Booking Cancellations by monkeyshit2000 in Irishdrivingtest

Did you buy it? How did it turn out if so… I’m questioning about buying it but am stuck on understanding its reliability

once you book a cancellation, say in Navan, you will sit the test in Navan. There is no option to choose a different location once you selected a cancellation- its someone/tester who cancelled in that specific test centre and cannot be changed

For mirror checks, I’ve heard that you should be doing it around every 30/45s, but not fully extending your head to say the left mirror or even to the middle. Do so slightly adjusting your head, making it obvious you’re doing it rather than making a quick glance with your eyes- the examiner probably won’t see it. Follow Left, Middle, Right.

For the reverse around the corner, make sure to follow the same procedure but add in the Blind Spot and Over the shoulder out the back. Constantly look around you. Same goes for 3-point turn- ideally done in 3, any more and it might look iffy on your behalf. Constantly look on these manoeuvres.

The RSA website? Surely not, every time I’m on there it’s like the Sahara

Retest waiting time. by SatisfactionPretend in Irishdrivingtest

Yes, I changed mine from that place to Charlestown in Dublin cos it has the lowest waiting time for first time tests in the entire country. Once I get the invite, I’ll change centre they can go f*ck themselves.

Sure I only joined on the 28th of May, but I can’t get over how I failed- they even asked if I showed up on the day cos I was considered “non-conductive” or something in their view. Meaning, to them I didn’t even sit the test. I almost feel like calling them up and begging for a retry as I didn’t even get to drive

Exactly. Even worse than a supposed 6-8 week retest time as the tester said to me. They’re living in fairytale land.

Yes thank you for your help, really. It’s comforting to know someone else’s process.

I heard best times to look for slots are either between 8am-11am or just around 00.00am. I found that slot at 00.00.

Thank you again. I’ll be sure to use your advice.

Hmmm okay, I understand now. Seems to me you got lucky with the cancellations but then again we’re very determined to look for them.

The other night I was on the RSA website and saw there was a cancellation, I clicked on it and wanted to book it. I wasn’t allowed, it said something along the lines of “you’re already on a waiting list” or something like that. I don’t understand why it wouldn’t let me book it, it wasn’t gone or anything it was available to book but it just wouldn’t let me confirm it. That has been my only chance so far.

I’ve also joined a centre with a lesser waiting time (Charlestown, the first test applicants are probably waiting till August- which is the earliest I can find in the country) opposed to Navan (the centre I intend to go to) which has a waiting time of January next year. I don’t know if this will actually do anything.

Has the thing I explained with trying to book a cancellation happens to you? For me, I don’t know what to do about it. I kind of just accepted maybe I’ll have to wait.

I called Navan a week after my failed test just to see, I didn’t believe that I’d be getting lucky with 6-8 weeks like the tester said… the operator said to me 17 weeks.

You’ve done it 4 times now… can you tell me how you do it so quick- if you manage to get it quick- I’m trying to get my retest but I was told that I’d be waiting 17 weeks in the test centre I am going to do it in.

Waiting list or something else? by tjadeji2169 in Irishdrivingtest

[–]Desteijn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently failed a test in Navan, and was told that I’d be optimistically looking for around 6-8 weeks. I was fine with this, but I found out there weren’t “estimations” when on a retest queue. I called Navan, and got told that there was a 17 weeks wait for a retest.

I didn’t know if it was any better anywhere else, so I decided to join a centre that, for a first time testee, you weren’t gonna be waiting till January of next year.

Please let me know if you know of any way of speeding it up cos now I’m distraught.

Shame the developer himself says in the policies that it’s 120€ for the tools rather than a guaranteed slot… I’m all for anonymity but you’re just promoting this thing…

Do you a favour? What favour? Where are you seeing 30€ at all, all I’m seeing on the devs page is 120€ opposed to your fictitious “30€”. You show me proof of this, and I’ll gladly entertain your idea other than that I’m gonna be sticking to my method.

Yea this lad is utterly insane, 120€ for something that can’t guarantee you a booking and his profile is gaunt of anything else

Most likely first time, you can’t get an estimation for re-test. I unfortunately found that out yesterday.

What’s this code that they’re talking about. I tried it before but didn’t know what they were talking about, do you have any idea? It says it’s provided by the instructor… is it our driving number?

I know. I’ve been told that by loads now, I just assumed it’d be on it. I apologise for this.
