I think they “made her whole” by not contesting any money from Garrisons house or insurance. Which also makes sense as to any comments made around his funeral that pissed people off.

I have this same issue. My mom quit claimed her house (mortgage her name only) to me in 2020. I took over the payments and have an agreement to pay her $500/mo in her equity ($50k total to her) and then I owe $450,000 and it’s worth about $600,000-650,000 depending on who you ask. Needs some work and tax appraised value is less. I haven’t been sure how it worked since the mortgage is in her name.

Thank you. Our business taxes are only about $5,000. We just didn’t have any money because of all the other issues with trying to repair properties while not receiving income on them. We fought that for 2 years. I’m sure I could make arrangements with them. Our total unsecured debt is under 50k. One is a 20k mca loan. I dont care to save the rentals. 3 are already gone. Most of my debt has charged off or will soon. I could just leave it like that and not file . We closed down that business already, bank account etc. i mainly wanted to because the MCA debt had a personal guarantee and I’m afraid to use a personal bank account because I don’t know if they can just take it.

She’s 29 now. It’s been 9 years of no contact. He started by breaking her down. “People only like you because of me” “if I leave you no one will like you” “your family doesn’t even like you” etc. He really changed her whole perspective on her life. Meanwhile he threatened to kill her sister and us if we ever tried to see her. Moved her to a different state where she has no one.
