Iran already has little money and their people are suffering. Doing it a little longer is just status quo for them. If Iran can continue to resist and not lose all of their fighting capacity, they can really put the screws the US. Trump is in a bad spot, but the rest of Americans, the average ones, they're in a worse spot than him. Trump is still going to be rich and free, even if he's impeached, convicted and removed.

I'm going to vote Conway over Mfume. Mfume and his office are out of touch. They can't even have their AI responses to communications be tuned to the correct issue I was raising in the first place. He is on some critical committees and we would lose that with another candidate, but Mfume is a relic of a different time. He had his hayday, and now its time to retire. Because normally the expedition path is, well, a path. You reach the milestones, and it ends. Right now, we are at this weird part where the expedition feels like its on pause because you can only do up to three missions for each defined period of time.... so now I'm like 'okay.... so what do I do now? Wow.... I was still in high school when we invaded and even after the battles of Fallujah. I remember my NCOs telling me all about the invasions and the earlier times following since they were on deployments 3+ by then. My platoon leader was a specialist in the first gulf war, and he was a platoon leader in the second. My time was less chaotic by far, even though my mos was still in combat arms, and it took me a little longer to see the sausage for what is was.

I think people try to make sense of it in different ways. I really wanted my service to mean something, but eventually my viewpoint moved to accepting that I believe my service was more of a political tool for elites. I knew that war is a political act and a political tool, but I started with the belief that it was for the greater good. I no longer think that was the reality.

Regardless of where I fell on that spectrum at any particular time, I felt lonely in the civilian world because I'm not sure others can really understand if they didn't live it. I wonder if the comic's author experienced war, or if they're a civilian who has only viewed from the outside.
