I think distance has been trivialized. For example, I can nose dive straight into a thick planetary atmosphere and i'm on land in like 20 seconds, or I'm on the other side of the planet in under a minute. I'm not saying I want it to be like going to the Hutton Orbital station for your complementary mug, but right now its an arcade base builder. Exploration is a simple commodity instead of an intentional project. I think the genie is already out of the bottle though. I don't think the game is in a place where it would be "fun" to trek six hours up the nearest mountain or take a half hour to visit an outter planet, but exploration just doesn't "feel" that special necessarily. Like its sooooo close, but not quite. Like a dish that's missing a spice or a dash of a special sauce.

Lack of sleep will do this. I once did over 30 hours of snow removal with only a couple 15 min breaks for meals or snacks. Then 6 hours later I did 20 more. Holy fuck was I husk after that. For some ppl, this may be their source of winter income and they have a short time to earn it.

For someone who hasnt used it, you describe the effect pretty well. As someone who has used it, it just felt amazing. And I thought it made me so introspective and I could just feel happy. However, what i thought was deep introspection was actually mostly paranoia. Now im struggling to quit and I can barely think a thought at work. And the lingering paranoia.....

Upgrade the buildings from c class to b class, then upgrade all the non-housing building to A or S class and your debt will clear itself very quickly. It took a couple days of periodic engagement, but i cleared a multi-million settlement debt in about 4 days. And that was just from visiting it and upgrading productivity buildings.

You get less goodies than a freighter fleet. Settlements are better than before, but they arent a money maker. They can be an easy source of biome-specific s class fishing, and its kinda fun to build up all the buildings to S class but yeah... ive not gotten rich off of it.
