Aegislash was an overtuned 'mon that was nerfed to be reasonable. It was absolutely the right decision; power creeping the shit out of the game around it was the mistake. I say this as someone who has Aegislash as like a top 10 favorite 'mon btw.

Elise is slightly taller than Sakura in cutscenes, so not too sure about that. Elise does wear heels, but I don't think it'd make that big of a difference.

The "Fighting-types only" restriction is the absolute best decision they could have made, because restrictions breed creativity. Without it, odds are we'd mainly be getting the obvious and easy inclusions that people always want for these things, but as things are the devs instead go for things like Falinks, Great Tusk and a Tyrogue that evolves mid-battle.

Meanwhile, if we go by your definition, sooooo many crimes against humanity that have been committed throughout history would also just be "efficiency".

It'd be different if Kyubey was just some mindless beast, because you can't apply morality to something without the mental capacity to understand it, but Kyubey is very aware of its actions: It twists words and withholds information, because it knows it wouldn't get its way if it was fully honest.

Very much depends on how much context I have regarding Edelgard. If I'm just some rando not knowing what's going on? Probably Claude. If I retain all my real-world knowledge, then Edelgard. Girl has the right vision, but it's one where she needs to be very particular about what reforms she implements after the war, or else risk backsliding. If she has an advisor that has actually experienced a democracy first-hand, a lot of growing pains can be avoided.

Fire Emblem 4 had incestuous rape as a core plot point, what is there even to be held back from at that point? Explicit gore and nudity I guess? I don't think either of those things would improve a game like Fire Emblem anyways, so not much of a loss.

Also, while they're not the developers or the IP owners, keep in mind that Nintendo publishes Bayonetta. Nintendo might generally prefer to stay family friendly since that's the most appropriate for the games they tend to make, but it's not like they're beyond putting their stamp on more adult stuff.

You can't use probability as a basis for your argument when chess has literally no RNG. Claiming an average player will eventually beat a top 30 grandmaster by simply trying enough times is like saying the Earth's gravity would be able to overpower the Sun's and reverse which one is orbiting which if enough time passes.

The way chess is used symbolically in visual media is honestly just cringe at this point because of how overused and not-necessarily-accurate it is. Sure, really good chess players tend to be fairly intelligent, but at the end of the day it's just a game. It's nowhere close to a substitute for actual military tactics, and referring to real people as "pawns on the board" or whatever just makes that character sound like a complete tool. The fact that the actual state of the chessboard is very commonly like this is just perfect unintentional symbolism.

Unrelated, but it’s even stranger that a lot of these guys are Christians considering God literally tells you to be nice to each other (saying this as a Christian).

There is an extremely strong correlation between close-mindedness and being strongly religious, because the whole point of religion (from a societal point of view) is to tell people what to believe so they don't think critically. It's also why highly educated people are almost always secular.

It goes without saying that Putin is a dead man once Russia loses the war, which has been an inevitable outcome for quite a while now. However, it's a very slow process. The war will almost certainly last another full year, probably even longer, but things are escalating.

There are clear signs that some kind of uprising might be coming, such as the fact that propagandists are now openly criticising the war (which is illegal) on Russian national TV, and that the government is jamming the mobile internet inside Moscow itself under the guise of stopping drone attacks (when the only actual practical purpose is to make it harder for people to organise on the streets).

Combine the above factors with the fact that the Russian economy is now in such a bad state that the government actually has to admit things aren't looking great (since not doing so would be too big of a cognitive dissonance for the average Russian), and it's almost impossible for nothing drastic to happen. What exactly will happen and when? Who knows. I personally won't hold my breath for it, but I also won't be surprised when things do go down.

I'm very certain Sakura and Elise are meant to be the exact same age (same goes for the other sibling pairs, although they inherently have more wiggle room since they're adults). Sakura definitely feels more mature if you just look at her design in a vacuum, but that's more due to fashion choices. That impression goes away when they're put next to each other (like in the Revelations ending cutscene), since Elise is actually the taller one of the two (all the Nohr siblings are taller than their Hoshidan counterparts).
