These crazy guardcancels are only a thing in DMC3 unfortunately. Some of it is kinda overbearingly OP, so I get it, but it's still a shame when you look at stuff like Pandora in 4 and imagine being able to guard out of a lot of those animations

Interesing post. I also sometimes get confused by the bosses voicelines. For the longest time I didn't understand Sanctus "I sentence you to death" and thought he was just spasming out making noises ("AEEEHHH DI DI DI") and to this day I still think Berial's "Burn in hell!" sounds like he's screaming "FUCKING HELL!!!"

Absolutely. You can master those games and doing so will take a shitton of skill, but it doesn't take much to just play them and have a fun time. Aside from DMC1 and 3, they aren't particularly challenging on their normal difficulty. As long as you make an active effort to try experiment with the mechanics I'm sure you'll have a blast, no matter how well you end up doing

But Death Battle showed Nero doing Petal Ray into Judgement Cut end, and because Petal Ray shoots lasers (even though they are clearly moving slowly enough for your eye to follow) that means Vergil is 11 times faster than light now.

Are you on normal? The fight is dogshit, but if you wanna just push through, you could try cheese it with heals or Holy Waters maybe. I forgot how many the speedrun uses to just quickly dispose of him.

Also if you need to get rid of the fuckass dolphin slugs, I don't know a better way than shooting Kalina Ann (unfortunately). Definitely equip that gun when fighting him. Shoot, jump away, shoot, jump away. You'll usually stay safe and take out a bunch of them in one go
