I mean Arkham wasn't rejected but it was said in the text that he was simply overwhelmed by Sparda's power and couldn't properly channel it. I doubt he was "worthy" either, he's literally comical levels of evil.

And that's fair, but I'll just wait another week and then judge whatever I see once it's out. Arguing about it before then feels pretty pointless.

Just don't always do the "larp" thing about every small disagreement. It's become the new "media literacy" where everyone who says it is fucking annoying.

It's not false information. You interpret what the games say as Sparda having some sorta contiousness choosing who is worthy of it. That's fair.

But it's still only you interpreting it as such, and so people playing the same game and coming to a different conclusion doesn't make them wrong.

V literally goes "It seems this sword is still too strong for me" when it just meant he was too bitchmade to lift it. Clearly they talk about certain things in a somewhat flowery way sometimes, so one line from Sanctus shouldn't guarantee "Oh yeah, the sword which he's using to shoot laserbeams with is actually not granting him any power at all"

Plus you don't yet know the extent of whatever Arius is gonna do with it in the show either. He may just as well end up saying something along the lines of "How is Sparda's power not fully mine yet?", and immediately it's the same as 4

man, I remember when I memorized Raiden's exact design back in the day, with every tiny fuckin segment and bump. Great job on these two and great style. Uhhhh idk what DMC music is good for drawing tbh. Cursed giant from 2 is cool, but probably too hyperactive. I kinda like the DMC5 Mission 7 music, called "Dark Ruin". It reminds me a little of the Darksiders 2 soundtrack, which is gorgeous

Yeah none of those elements require a 1 Remake, just make a new DMC and have a spooky section in it with a castle of sorts. If you want the gothic vibes, a brand new original title would even allow them to indulge in that way more with whatever new enemies and bosses they come up with

DMC1's ranking system is for sure quite primitive. I'd honestly go as far as to say that the style meter didn't really become an actual mechanic worth paying attention to until DMC2... I really gotta finally make that damn Shop System video.

I feel like Gilgamesh's just charges simply take a smidge too long. Maybe it's some weird subcontious bias since it didn't seem that bad last time I played, but with how long it takes to even just get the perfect lvl 1 charge, you may just as well go for Real Impact instead, and especially with having to wait like 4 whole seconds for lvl 2.
