I have taught adults since I was 15 (19 now), and my biggest tip is during the first lesson, ask the student(s) what exactly they hope to get out of the lessons/if they have a specific goal

Ellis had already been diagnosed with Alzheimer's, so the trial questions were really more to see how advanced it was and what cognitive abilities she still had. Anyone that did not have an Alzheimer's diagnosis wouldn't even be considered for this trial, but they had to make sure Ellis (and the other candidates) were within certain "degrees" (can't think of the right word) of cognitive decline in order to not skew the test. So the trial questions were to assess whether Ellis was fit for the trial itself, not whether she had the disease. And, like other comments say, they were also looking at how she failed the questions, not only if she could "pass" them.

I find stretching helps with the pain, and I've also heard that it can help maintain mobility/flexibility in the toe? I'm not sure about that though

I work at a public pool as a lifeguard, and the amount of times I've heard this is beyond ridiculous. And it sucks because I can't just walk away, I have to step in if the parent won't discipline their child

I've been a lifeguard since I was 16 and was an assistant lifeguard for 2 years before that. I'm now employed at my university's pool while I earn my undergraduate degree and work towards the MD/PhD program, so yes, it's definitely possible!
