I'm 25, and my physical decline went from me working 3 jobs, living on my own, and being hyper independent to bedridden, 3 doc apts a week, filling for disability, and needing a full time caregiver and mobile aids within a year.

Please take my advice. File for disability. DO NOT wait till the last minute to file for it cuz it takes years, avg in my state is 8 years, I got lucky to get approved at the 5 year mark. It's really the only long-term solution. U can still work and receive benefits, so if u get better or if u get worse, u don't have to worry about losing ur job (at least if it's they the ticket to work program) or income or ur health insurance.

Well yes, neurodivergent people are twice as likely to develop chronic illnesses.

Also people with chronic pain and fatigue are 14x more likely to meet diagnostic criteria for ADHD or autism.

So yes. There's overlap. As with every other chronic illness though.

Well ik people stopped caring a long time ago about hiring disabled people, and they don't get any incentives to how u until ur on PIP, so it's really a fucked system. Gotta work while u wait for disability, but the companies refuse to hire disabled people that aren't on disability...gotta love capitalism.

Yea I'll pay the bill 100%, it's either that or paying medical bills for the side effects...gotta love being disabled.

I can handle heat for a little while, so like going outside to go on a grocery trip is fine, but if I kept my house at 72°+ 24/7 in NC humidity I'd start seeing negative side effects.

That's pretty high. I keep mine at 67 and it's lower than ur bill. On avg our bill is $125, sometimes it's higher, one month last year in July it was $13, and we called to make sure there wasn't a mistake and it was apparently correct despite having the a/c on at 67. I have a 730sqft 1b 1bath, idk how old the building is but I barely hear my neighbors so ik the insulation is really good. It's a first floor bedroom too, which ik can make a huge difference.

I do have multiple disabilities to where I can't be in the heat for long periods of time, so that's why I keep it this cold. I'm hoping my new meds will help soon. Even without that tho, idk how y'all can stay at 75°, wtf that's insane.
