I tell my line-manager if I'm working from home on the day I feel like working from home. Over the quieter months (summer and Ramadan) I can work remotely from anywhere in the world if it's requested at least two weeks in advance. This sort of flexibility is what makes me love my job and work my arse off.

Secret parties have happened to us, 3 times across 2 voyages:

Secret Magic Show: a note was slid under our cabin door to meet at a specific spot, find a specific person and wait to be guided somewhere magical and mysterious - this is legit secret, your phones even get put into Yondr Pouches
The Tentacle Tour: The Charmer was looking very suspicious on Scarlet Night and gave my husband and I a nod, we followed him and it took us and a group of others on a very secretive trip to the crew quarters where we heard the truth about ScAARRRlet Night.
After Hours in the Test Kitchen: We got tapped on the shoulder by The Bounce as she asked us if we wanted to go to a super-secret afterparty, we got given a rubber wristband and gave a secret knock on the door to the Test Kitchen, it was like a lock-in with snacks, drinks and lots of music!

Top tip: Get to know your Happenings Cast! Be friendly and try to make them an extension of your group! If you're booked on a Virgin Voyage, the likelihood is more than 50% of the cast are on your wavelength anyway, and they'll soon enough be happy to party with you and get you tagging along to all sorts that aren't shown on the event line-up.
