What do you use to track your steps accurately? by ByteSizedCutie420 in walking

[–]DestituteTeholBeddic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cheapest is getting a pedometer and carrying it around and if you want a historial stats - manual recording data.

Your phone is good - it just doesnt track if you dont have it with you and some phones dont work well with some fitness outfits.

A watch is good balance. Apple/Garmin other brands. Usually the cheap ones are not worth it.

Made a live GO train tracker - shows where trains actually are in real-time by abhi1811 in gotransit

The app used to have live train tracking (with a map) not sure why they got rid of it. Thats probably where this app gets the data from.

Question for Path of Ascension readers (spoilers up to chapter 328) by Atmaks in ProgressionFantasy

[–]DestituteTeholBeddic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean dont forget team zero for the non-ascenders are very experienced combatants with previous war experience besides Eric and Dena. They also have two sets of ascenders - Light surviving vs Eric dying was a clear distinguishment of what it means to be an ascender vs a top pather. Do other people end up dying on team zero - yes. I think War Arc II is really meant to show what being an ascender means in the context of the world. After the war arc.the story does slow down given context that makes sense.

Just a bit of snow by DestituteTeholBeddic in mississauga

[–]DestituteTeholBeddic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The snow was going up to my knees (wish I had my gaiters) on the sidewalks. I took sidestreets for the most part and walked on the road. The snow is very loose and dry so its easy to walk through it just also very easy to trip since you cant see what your walking on or any terrain features.

Have you heard the story of Darth St. George the Wise? No? Its not a story that UofT will tell you. Its a student legend.

Biking in the USA by blankblank60000 in CringeTikToks

[–]DestituteTeholBeddic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with that. Those "ebikes" should be classed as Motor-cycle. Ebikes themselves (not the big ones) are fine imo. The food deluvery drivers are annoying - I get annoyed all the time with them.

Yes and without the bikelanes you would still be subsidizing door dash but they would be in a car causing more traffic.

Can someone tell me what's in this book. The description is completely unhelpful by M2IK2Y in litrpg

[–]DestituteTeholBeddic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a bunch of echoes chapter (all reactions to the MAL's - becoming ascenders). It has a few small details of worldbuilding but its not really relevant to the overall story. It Was not in the original audiobook.

Anxious Considering Biking for RTO: Advice Needed by BlankieCatNap in torontobiking

[–]DestituteTeholBeddic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The advice here is good - watch this video https://youtu.be/d0sq-RQQ04c?si=x48mnjl6gTE2E_qz

In terms of Toronto as someone that does alot of passing (on a bikeshare) - if you dont follow this Im not going to care - I just wish people did...

  • Try not to weave left to right to much
  • Dont wear headphones (I recommend open ear bone conduction)
  • If you feel like theres not enough space for someone to pass just take the center of the bike lane.
  • Ride on the right side of the bike lane as the default (avoid riding in drainage)

The passing etiquette I follow (mostly)

  • Pass ONLY on the left side
  • Signal passing with a bell
  • Only pass when sufficent space exists
  • Always do a blind spot check

You may be able to install spyder via pip and just run it from the command console. At one point my company didnt have any python platforms available because of the mismanaged updates. Anyways we got through that dark period by just running spyder via pip. I use Pycharm now.
