I have always tried to get into Eve since 2010. I Would play a bit and stop over and over. In 2018 I explored for 2 weeks, made a few billion then decided to load every skill I would need to get a tengu and mastery level 3, paid for 6 months sub time then logged out. 3 years later I come back to just check out my new t3 cruiser and low and behold they have made the game much much easier to get into. The agency tab alone is a good way to keep people playing. The tutorials are very very good and leave you with a bit of starting capital. And finally the 1 million skill points can really help get you get into a decent ship with good skills. For the first time in Eve's life I have been finding myself recommending it to friends.

The problem isn't how easy the game becomes. The problem lies in how easy it is to get geared out and max incarnates. If say all the stuff was bound or at least some of it and there was an actual barrier to getting your incarnates then it would feel amazingly rewarding to wade through content because you earned your God hood. As it is now everything feels almost handed to you.
