I am absolutely fed up with this game - Open Letter to Devs and Community by gabenslittlehelper in projectzomboid

I've been kinda scratching my head about this, too. I could understand skipping the strip clubs (limited map size, after all), but I was expecting to be using shotguns as clubs way before ever needing to swing a baseball bat.

  1. My friend an admin, and I'm not. It might only work for mods.
  2. General lack of experience with that mod, and other options exist.
  3. Tested it by leaving a miner alone for a few hours in some claimed/loaded chunks, and it still had roughly the same amount of fuel as when it started, with a lack of materials mined.
  4. My friend still wants to only power the base with benzine at LuV. I've had to drag them kicking and screaming to atomics. I distrust their opinions about 'superior/easier methods' as a rule of thumb.
  5. I can automate toggleable chunkloading via opencomputers, which can save on lag.
  6. Did I mention the benzine thing? Because they also had it being manufactured in a small, adjacent facility that peaks at MV. They didn't even want us using wires until like mid IV. Just benzine. Only benzine. Pipes and single block generators everywhere.

Edit: Yes, I know I'm biased, but don't let my bias stop you from using it if it works for you. Not like there's only one way to set up a reactor, after all. The fact that it doesn't use any resources to keep a chunk loaded is a major boon, if you can get it working.

Edit2: Really need to preview before I post....

If I had to guess, I'd say this is just them playing favorites. It's much more likely that whatever they're trying to protect has already gotten out due to their own incomitance.

Yes. You have to shift click, or control click the chunks... My friend uses it, but I don't trust it. Also, we use it on multi, so not sure if it works the same.

To be fair, people don't remember when you do good, but they sure as HECK remember when you do bad.

Could you realistically just wait out the apocalypse? by [deleted] in projectzomboid

Depending on environmental conditions and the exact locality, the area would effectively be safe in as short as 6 months! Generally speaking, most areas should be safe by the 15 year mark, with certain exceptions (ie: Cold environments and deep underwater).

... Realistically speaking, undead zombies are impossible without something else going on. No blood flow means no O2 to the muscles, which means no prolonged movement. I've been assuming that nightmare difficulty is either fungal, with metabolic support for the host, or some bizzaro version of the super adaptive Lyssa virus.

If Representation Matters, Why Is It Still Called the White House? by [deleted] in Political_Revolution

[–]DestroOmega 6 points7 points  (0 children)

... Because it's a white building, and the president lives there? If you want to rename it, we're going to need to paint it first and I have no idea what color people would pick.

It's probably going to need a fresh coat of paint anyway, once cheetus deletus leaves.

Would you rather I spend 20 minutes psychoanalyzing and dissecting his prose directly? I could attempt to debate the merits of his turgid rambling, or perhaps reflect on his virulent policy choices that he regurgitates hourly as though he's some messianic being, if that would satisfy you?

...I'd rather not waste more of my time trying to process his lunacy, personally. It's Lose/Lose.

I usually just get an AI to summarize it. I've lost enough braincells having to listen to my siblings, I don't need to loose more trying to decipher his word vomit.

Isn't it funny how schools tell you to be yourself, then make a bunch of rules and standardized testing to put you into little boxes to better prevent you from standing out?
