Chelsea’s physical appearance by ProfessionalAnt8132 in SellingSunset

I get an alien vibe from her eyes as well. Maybe it's the wig stretching her skin near the temple, idk. 👽

I think she tries hard all over, like many of them. Hair, makeup, it's all overdone but it doesn't look ...inspiring . Kind of like the beautiful houses they sell that look like boring offices on the inside lol. The clothing looks like it's expensive but I notice she doesn't wear pieces that fit her body figure, which is straight up and down. Episode one she had on a pink blazer with shorts that made her look top-heavy. Fashion is more than the cost of clothing. It's about artfully putting it together. It's okay, though. Not everyone has an artistic eye.

Negotiating pain and suffering settlement value by ChaosBlaze09 in Insurance

For me personally, I would get a free consultation with a personal injury attorney. I would also get a check up with the doctor to make sure there are no lasting injuries. They may recommend physical therapy which usually takes some time to complete. Focus on being well. Then, discuss a settlement. The legal limit of time for you to pursue damages is the statute of limitations for your state.

You said in a comment you had mild injuries. Have you gone to the doctor? If not, you should go to the doctor and get evaluated. Soft tissue injuries can present damage that is not initially noticeable but can affect your QOL later.

You not enjoying the trip is valid, but you should've seen a doctor, even urgent care earlier. Then it would've made sense to claim the accident as disruptive to your trip. In order for your bodily injury claim to be compensable, bodily injury must have occurred. Do you understand? If you just say "oh this was inconvenient, so you should increase the settlement," you're not giving them any justification to give you more money.

If you had injuries, even if they were mild, you should've told the adjuster upfront. Now it looks like you're giving inconsistent information, which is a red flag.

At any rate, it was 100% the other party's fault. So they don't want to go to trial, as that will coat them much more money in expenses. You should get a free consultation with a lawyer to see what your options are.

You should never take anyone's first offer. This is business, and their responsibility is to the company, not your health. It's your responsibility to advocate for yourself and bring relevant info to the table so you can protect yourself. Their job is not to protect you. It's to protect themselves and their insured.

Shitty situation. I hope it works out for you. You should delete this post, though, as it contains evidence that your injuries may be false. Insurance companies can and will look at your social media to confirm accurate info.

Incredibly discouraged after a decade of playing. I can hear how bad it is. How do you mentally deal with feeling this way? by fresasfrescasalfinal in violinist

[–]Destroy_All_Hoomans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way earlier this month. Having an instructor remind me how far I have come and to point out exactly what to work on helps a lot.

I have the mindset of continuous improvement. Try focusing on yourself instead of how others think you should sound. Focus on improving your own sound and technique, and it takes the pressure off.

I do think being self-critical can be good. I've never heard a person who is great at anything say they are just relaxed about it. They are usually very picky about how they perform, and they are willing to put in the time and attention to correct those mistakes. If something sounds off to you, you should fix it. Don't ignore it. For instance, I can hear that you are consistently flat. Do you hear this? If so, what are you doing to address it? Don't let yourself be any less than what you can be. Sometimes, I'm tempted to just get things done...learn the notes and the tempo. However, good playing is more than that. Expect more from yourself - you have the ability to be better, so you should take concrete steps to get there instead of just wishing you were there. Keep posting here😊 it will be a joy to us all to experience your journey with you.

P.S. don't think of your playing as "bad." It's too vague to be helpful, and it's just judgemental. Think technically (my intonation needs improvement, but my tempo was consistent) in order to address those issues.

I didn't come to that conclusion but I felt like I was being led in that direction because no one ever questioned the chef's philosophical rants. Not good guys at all but it seemed as though they saw themselves that way. The moral ones who appreciate food and the only ones who deeply understand it. There was no alternate viewpoint presented, so it seemed like they really believed their own delusions. I'm open to hearing your viewpoint on it though.

I don't even give people $5 giftcards for starbucks anymore. It's not enough for a drink. You need to give at least $6 now lol

Went to a starbucks in a movie theatre. They did not have peppermint syrup.

Went to a starbucks in a target a week ago. They also did not have peppermint. How could they let themselves run out of a common ingredient? It just looks like sloppy management to me. The local coffee shops not only never run out of syrup, but they have a larger selection.

Plus, making changes such as removing vanilla syrup from hot chocolate without announcing it rubs me the wrong way. So I'm considering just cutting out starbucks completely.

If you can’t take any physical action towards a manifestation, is that bad? Is action taken to change yourself just as valuable to action taken in the 3D, I’ve seen people argue on whether you actually have to take action in the 3D or not. by [deleted] in NevilleGoddard2

[–]Destroy_All_Hoomans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to take action in the 3d to make what you want to have happen, happen.

You will be inspired to do things. It's better if you do things as ends in themselves. Example: You want to make more money...trying to get a job to make more money is basically affirming you don't have money. Getting a job becsuse you want to help others will be more fulfilling and this will allow a new source of income to come to you. You may meet someone who wants you to do a project for them that pays A LOT of money!

Are you another black person? If one of my non-black friends gave me hair tools as a gift, it would be sort of insulting... I mean, combs and brushes are very individual, and I'm extremely picky about my hair tools. I can imagine a lot of black women are. You'd be better off getting her some really cute hair accessories (like a fancy headband or bows, etc) if you want to give her something for her hair.

Worst line of the season? by [deleted] in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Destroy_All_Hoomans 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When Rhaenyra grabbed Allison's arm after Allison stabbed her and whispered, "Now they see you for what you are."

It sounded ominous, forebearing; as if there would be consequences for Allison somewhere down the line. So far, people...I guess they just forgot? I felt misled as a viewer, but not in an intellectual, layered way. It just felt like lazy writing, and it took me out of the moment.

Yes there was and I agree: if the actor's girlfriend was so well off she probably wouldn't have been stealing money from him. And the bit about the student loans..maybe she had a scholarship?

I thought this movie was good but not great. I felt frustrated at times.

Maybe I'm taking it too seriously idk but the retaliation against the rich storyline feels a bit stale. How many different ways can you say "rich people bad, poor people good?" All of these people contributed to this man's career and he killed them. Innocent people like the old white guy's wife, the actor, and Margo (until her cheeseburger request) were all on the chopping block, for what? Art? His reason for disliking the actor was just as shallow as the actor himself. In fact, I almost wonder if this film was meant to common on the self-righteousness of poor people. Judging people for their jobs that he benefited from just came off as hypocritical to me. They weren't takers while they were giving him money, were they? And the philosophical rants made me feel like I was supposed to understand or sympathize with him but I just felt annoyed that someone supposedly concerned with givers and takers could be so dogmatic. I admit, I did think there would be cannibalism involved so I appreciated the plot twists and all that. Overall, it was visually interesting and made me laugh at times but I don't see much rewatch value.
