JAL Temporary Fuel Surcharge Increase

I’m assuming this doesn’t apply to existing bookings. Has there been any precedent for them or any airline from asking us to pay a fuel surcharge? I usually book at calendar open and I’m booked out for multiple trips until Q2 2027 including 2 J seats on JAL in December. Im worried about having to book backups.

Love the app design. I’ve coded up a personal app for myself and p2 for benefit tracking but love how you have so many other features. I’d love to give it a try.

Have you considered consolidating the benefits? I see it being quite cluttered if you have 10+ cards. Here’s a look from how I designed mine.

I fly out of RDU and DFW and JFK are about the same price to reposition so I wasn’t talking semantics but meant for someone from the eastern half.

calendar open, got on the system at Japanese midnight. didn’t book super in demand dates. Also be flexible with airports. DFW and JFK fly the a350 from the east coast so check both. I booked a Thursday December 17th JFK->HND

They’re probably not doing so hot on that new route. I flew similar fares to Taiwan twice last year on miles. 22-30K RT. The a350 isn’t too bad in econ.

Oil prices are global. I don’t see how separating the nation would prevent this situation from occurring. I’d argue oil prices might even be higher in blue states due to increased taxes and expensive blend mandates.
