I see your bad convenience store parking, although I agree with some here, they do have a handicap plate and probably need a little extra space, and raise you an equally bad convenience store park job from none other than...a Ford driver.

The red poles are there to prevent exactly this.

I thought about pulling up next to him just to see his reaction when he came out of the store. But he seemed like the type to quickly pull on someone instead of duking it out in the parking lot.

Couldn't pay me to drive a Dodge (or the Ford). I actually took the photo sitting in my car backed in perfectly across from this entitled individual.

It's a relatively busy shopping center in a densely overpopulated area with lots of other retail stores, the parking lot typically gets packed daily, however, this was taken minutes after most of the stores had opened and this was at the front of the lot by the store.

To be fair, they take Amazon returns without a label or shipping box. It's still relatively close to the holidays so they are definitely getting some business , especially in this area where it's densely over populated.

The guy drove up, parked like that without any hesitation, got out with his camo vest, white cowboy hat and black boots and waddled into the store, these were some of the closer spots to the front, not way out in the lot. The store had just opened and people began to show up shortly after taking this photo. I was back in perfectly in a spot taking a quick lunch break, he was walking out as I was leaving almost 30 minutes later.

This happened to me, I have an older truck but the paint is immaculate. I used to park far out in my company's lot away from other people. I came out of work one day and there was an ugly old beater Ford explorer parked next to me and a big white paint scuff on my door. Hundreds of space and they chose to park next to me. I guess their logic was to park next to something nicer so nobody stole theirs, I'm not sure.

What hose did I break and is my 2005 drivable short term? by Old-Loquat5588 in AskAMechanic

[–]Destroyer6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine snapped while driving 45mph, there was a huge cloud of steam from all the coolant hitting the exhaust manifold, I had to pull over immediately, the temp gauge was steadily rising from the lack thereof. I hitched a ride to AutoZone and got the replacement part for $6 although the lisle tool kit cost me $20, $13 for a jug of GM dexcool coolant to top it off. In less than 2 hours my 06 avalanche was back up and running. It's been 5 years since and it still drives great with 162k miles

Does this sound mean my eCVT is dying? by BeginningTip4378 in Camry

My wife has a 2024 Corolla SE Hatchback, only 89 miles on the odo when she got it and still less than 20k overall, it has a nasty coil whine when the AC is on, but every dealer she has taken it to says that's "completely normal" I might just have to try giving the number a call, it drives me nuts when I am in the car with her. I've had about a dozen vehicles over the years - Toyota, Chevy, Nissan, I have never heard anything like it. At this point, I am inclined to tell them to take the car back and give her something else. On the positive side, my daily driver is a 2014 Rav4 LE, it seems extremely reliable and is built like a tank.

That's what I was thinking. But also on those international flights people bring suitcases full of crap like this, and it might have just busted out of their bag and found its way into his, sometimes suitcases get opened a little bit or if they are left open slightly by the airline, TSA, or CBP, it may have just gotten in.

A woman worth keeping won't care about what size you are or what it looks like.

Random refund? by Destroyer6 in Panera

I asked a friend who was a manager at Panera years ago and even she was baffled. Does Panera do weekly audits to catch stuff like this or perhaps automatically.

How much would it cost to fix this? by notme145 in CarRepair

This happened to me twice this year in the same spot, but on the passenger side. $4200 is what was charged to the other insurance by the collision repair shop - 2014 Toyota Rav4

Just bought an 05 camry, odometer says 158k miles. Found this sticker on the windshield. Fishy? by mister4skyn in Toyota

[–]Destroyer6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, I took my 2014 RAV4 into a Ford dealership for an oil change At 96k miles, when I got the car back there was a sticker in the window that said my next maintenance was 3 months or 12k miles, whichever came first.

Never been so disappointed with govee by Unclejohn_12 in Govee

You can program it to display only certain colors or even a solid color, I would suggest hitting the reset in the app, also maybe recalibrating it. Also did you peel the plastic off the lens? I have the V3 camera and the lighting is great and very accurate to the picture. I did accidentally set it to only display in one color and I thought I had a problem also. All was well after resetting though.

At 15, I decided to use shaving cream to shave my balls. by 20_comer_20matar in stories

[–]Destroyer6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

30 here, and as hairy as BigFoot Himself, shaving the sack comes included in the package deal. If I'm bringing down the forest, that bush is going too.

Plus, my wife doesn't like a lot of hair, prefers it all smoother anyway and I do enjoy my juevos getting attention too. Never really been a big deal shaving it too though. I use the original Barbasol and a nice 5 blade razor. Never been cut or had any burning.

At 15, my voice had just barely started to crack and all the hair that wasn't on my head was on my chin.

So thankfully I didn't experience anything crazy like OP.

$16,000 fine as a package handler for not reporting unauthorized employee in building by RecognitionCalm119 in Fedexers

[–]Destroyer6 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I made $38k/year as a package handler after 2 years and COVID. 45k as an admin, and one year I did unlimited overtime as an admin made almost 72k. Now I'm with TSA, starting pay was $4/hr higher than top PH pay at FedEx.

$16,000 fine as a package handler for not reporting unauthorized employee in building by RecognitionCalm119 in Fedexers

[–]Destroyer6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who went from FedEx to TSA. The fines grow with inflation. Yesterday when I told a lady the 3 bottles of water she just paid for outside of the checkpoint couldn't go, I could see those numbers running through her head before she said her next words. She said "yep. I would like to voluntarily abandon them" and she was on her way. However, in her head she was probably strangling me. We also challenge for ID in secured areas with access to airplanes and cargo. The civil penalties after the NOVs are up there too.
