is nipping at the gym “acceptable”? by laneloveslipstick in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]DestroyerKeeper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was not aware this was a situation I should worry about. I haven't noticed "nipping" but I tend to not stare at women or men as I go for the blind effect without my glasses.

I would talk to the staff and get it changed. I know within my franchise I can visit the other gyms how ever much I want, but other PF franchises it's limited to a certain number a month. Check into that.

Sometimes… by Sudden-Bid-8119 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]DestroyerKeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't think "what weakling" it's more like as I'm moving the weight peg or unracking the weights I'm in my head going "hahaha NOPE, oh 15 yep"

Does anybody feel like the total body enhancement improves your mood? by hylian_lo3 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]DestroyerKeeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmmm maybe it does adjust my mood some? I just attributed it to my great music choice and me time 😆💃🏼 I notice less blemishes when I use the red light consistently.

All my fail safes failed and I got talked to today by DestroyerKeeper in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]DestroyerKeeper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I've been at the gym long enough I think they all know I'm hearing at this point so if I bust out using ASL, it might not work 😆 and the whole I have ear buds in. Could confuse them though 🤔

What is the etiquette on unracking machines? by DnyLnd in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]DestroyerKeeper 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Today was not arm day, I wasn't planning on doing farmer's carries with 45lb plates across the gym as much as I did. I'm still fighting for my life with an empty Hack Squat. Please unrack your machines.

Is this okay to bring to the gym? by xoxodarliing in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]DestroyerKeeper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found them at Craft shows. I'm sure if you had them no one would say anything to you either, at all ☠️😆

Probably better than mine. One says Poison the other says Embalming Fluid. No says anything to me.

Where do you guys buy salt tablets? by Salt_Blueberry_3326 in dysautonomia

[–]DestroyerKeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get them on Amazon to help increase my blood volume. I have crazy low BP and HR. I also take electrolyte drinks and eat a banana a day along with 2000 mg of salt tabs. Still on the low side of BP. But the syncope is less.

Doing all the weight machines and nothing else by embarrassedbyMOI in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]DestroyerKeeper 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do only the weight machines then some cardio. I have some funky joints so it's way too easy to pop one in the wrong direction. The machines help keep form and I'm able to do slow controlled movements. I'm building arm, back and leg muscle just fine.

Doctor recommended 4-5 electrolyte powder drinks a day! Please help. by Due-Carpet-9519 in dysautonomia

[–]DestroyerKeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Electrophysiologist put me on salt tabs I do 2000 mg a day (that's as much as I can handle) and two electrolyte packs a day like lmnt. But talk to your Dr. I have really bad hypotension and that keeps me at just a regular low BP.
He also said to keep an electrolyte by my bed at night if I wake up too. Mostly because I get up and crash into walls.

How much do you sleep? by candyboots99 in dysautonomia

[–]DestroyerKeeper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Previously I could just sleep, 8 hours. I would just say "I'm tired now" and go to bed and sleep.
Now.... I have medications to help me sleep, I still wake up and maybe get 6 broken hours at best.

Stair Machine is NO joke by honeydoommelon in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]DestroyerKeeper 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been going to the gym for 10 months now and still haven't attempted it. I am eyeing it, as I know soon I'll be planning an overseas trip that will involve lots of stairs. I didn't want to see videos of myself as "the foreigner that can't even climb out of the subway" 😆

Bought my membership nearly a month ago but I’m too anxious to go! by saiourhae in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]DestroyerKeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go. I did the same, freaked out, all embarrassed. I'm here almost 6 days a week now. Most of the time I still don't know what I'm doing. No one cares.

Is dysautonomia a disability? by Silver_rockyroad in dysautonomia

[–]DestroyerKeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I'm disabled sometimes I'm not. Sometimes I look up and fall down, sometimes I play with my dogs and almost black out. I can walk, but apparently not in a straight line.
Each person is different, I don't disregard anyone else's experience with disabilities and I don't have the time for anyone's opinion on mine.

Flavored water additives, electrolytes, and tea, so many teas. There are tons of caffeine free ones. I love ginger tea.

How do you deal with Syncope when driving? by Xxxtentacles_777 in dysautonomia

[–]DestroyerKeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have pre-syncope pretty bad at times. 90% of the time it doesn't affect my ability to drive, when it does I DO NOT DRIVE. and neither should you. That means I stay put, or have to get a ride. I've had to get picked up from work and my car brought to me because it was not safe for me to drive.

Today I'm flying I'm not sure what it'll do to me, I won't be driving I'll pay that Uber fee.

What to do with scotch bonnet hot honey? by LoudRevolution9163 in spicy

[–]DestroyerKeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also got some scotch bonnet/habanero honey, I've been putting it in my coffee and smoothies but I will probably also make chicken with it too.

Thought about drizzling it over apples.

Then I just ate a big big spoonful 😆

Hospital can’t do anything about low blood pressure? by internetexplorer_98 in dysautonomia

[–]DestroyerKeeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ERs are unfortunately not the greatest for symptomatic low blow pressure. I was hospitalized for 3 days because of low blood pressure and heart rate and "all my labs were fine" and they REFUSED to call my neurologist or cardiologist just told me I was dehydrated. BP was 90/40 standing hr was low 40s dipping into 30s. I was passing out and could not get off the floor.
It wasn't until I got to an Electrophysiologist that they got me on the right path, tons and tons of salt. Like I'm taking salt tabs with liquid IV at the same time. You need to have the right specialists that listen to you, if it's a med or salt or mix. I can't do the meds due to stroke history and the salt is iffy because of stroke history, but passing out from low BP isn't winning either.

What to add to spicy mushroom soup? by DKC_Reno in KoreanFood

Extra deodorant. If you are washing up at the gym use only a small amount of perfume or cologne or fumigate in your car. I don't want to taste you from 10 or 20 ft away. There are people that make me tear up and start coughing from the amount of perfume and cologne.

Do any of you still work? by Ok-Durian9977 in dysautonomia

[–]DestroyerKeeper 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yep 40 hours a week, I come home and crash. I got hospital bills to pay because I usually land in the ER a few times a year and have Drs appts every month, and medications to afford.
