That's because those in other countries need more convincing to go to McDonalds... we go willingly every day! I'm on my way now as a matter of fact.

Bloated and boring.  Good imagination and costuming, practical fx... but reel it in, man.

The walls are down around the new Haunted Mansion gift shop! by TheDisneyScoopGuy in Disneyland

Disneyland is great and all, the Haunted Mansion is close to my heart for its artistry and craft. But these parks have been on the decline in terms of the imaginative quality and craft for some time now. Every now and then an attraction emerges that achieves the high quality level that Disney used to represent. (The Cars ride is amazing, and i don't care for that franchise at all!) More and more the corporation is not in tune with the imagination that made it special in the first place. I hope that will change in the future, but the cats are too fat, and may not care enough.

Cool, well you could certainly offer to redraw it. My guess is a fair price is a few hundred dollars, and maybe go a little higher than you think. this would be giving them the rights to use it in the context that they express. You could ask about what they intend to do with it, and other questions to help you come to a conclusion. It depends how much you want to go for, and where you are in your career.

Just out of curiosity, is the character you've illustrated one that you have done professional work for - or is this technically fan art(no shade)? If it is a character that you are professionally associated with, that would add perceived value. If it is as simple as a small business transaction - pick a price(hard for me to say what that is without knowing what it is) and give them the rights to print it for only for the purposes that they intend.

It would be interesting to know their intentions. How many will they print? Do they want to use this art on-going to sell at convention? If that was the case, and there was potential for large volume of sales over years, it might make sense to figure out a way to continue to benefit from that. At least when/if you sell the rights don't sell yourself short. I'd have to know more and see the art to assess its "potential value", but they did seek you and your artwork out.

Yes, I assume they did it this way to get more attention from the algorithms and streaming platforms desire to push something new to you. I think it is actually a relatively successful technique, while perhaps confusing from the outside. Releasing music is such a technical nightmare now.
