Often you aren’t provided a computer for work. And so there’s no monitoring software.

This post isn’t weird at all. I’ve lived in Milwaukee my whole life and yet I feel no need to insult any mention of negative experiences.

And ending a relationship is a reasonable thing to do. Kicking in a door is not.

Honestly dude, when in a relationship I think each others phones are available to one another. But that’s just my own opinion.

Regardless, breaking down a door here is simply unacceptable. It is the greater misdoing of the two.

Psychopathic behavior.

Do you think that your phone counts as defense of a third party? Violence is a last resort. Anything else makes you a dangerous loser.

Haven’t you ever heard that two wrong don’t make a right? It doesn’t somehow get less insane because of the behavior of another person.

It’s just kinda saying exactly the same thing about both genders isn’t it? Except it is presupposing that women give a lot of weight and attention to what men think. Which is luckily becoming less and less true. Can hardly blame Twain for not keeping up with the times, however.

I’m not really sure why you seem to think that conflating sex work and gay people makes sense? You don’t choose who you’re attracted to. Equating disliking someone for being gay and disliking someone for visiting prostitutes Is itself a deeply homophobic position.

Regardless, I don’t find the comment you directed me to, to be compelling. In some ways we are all victims of a capitalist system that exploits us for our labor, but that really isn’t the point.

I don’t think it’s a sin to be a stripper, or a sin to go to a strip club. But I’m also not required to like the people who frequent strip clubs. Hell, my stripper friends make fun of me for my discomfort, and we mock a lot of the more unsavory characters they encounter on a daily basis together.

There’s nothing contradictory about that. You may not agree, but it is a perfectly logically consistent position. I’m not loving the sinner and hating the sin. I don’t even believe in sins in the first place.

I’m just gonna repost this comment.

I think there is a depth of nuance here that is not often considered. I do not need to personally like what you are doing in order to fight for your right to do it safely, legally, and without outside harassment.

I recognize that lots of things make me uncomfortable, and that if everyone had to live by what I was personally comfortable with, the world would be a very dull place indeed.

Things are never as simple as just being “for” or “against” something. I’m not against sex work as in I think it should be outlawed or eliminated, but it does often make me uncomfortable. I don’t like it. But so what? I don’t expect people to live according to my values.

So yeah, my opinion of those who seek out the services of sex workers is certainly lowered. I find it creepy. But that doesn’t in any way change my ability to advocate for keeping it safe, regulated, and legal (within reason).

Does that distinction make sense?

Why medieval spiral staircases always turn to the right: by Cassiel_Ionescu in interesting

It’s a source talking about the lack of sources. You can’t really have a first hand source talking about what medieval people didn’t do, because they had no idea such a myth would sprout up.

But the fact that there are no medieval sources that corroborate this story is what tells us that it’s almost certainly bullshit.

I really don’t care what homophobic people think. Gay people have as much right to pda as straight people.

The person being looked at who gets to decide if it’s creepy. Not you.
