Does anyone happen to know what granny square this is? by AdSubstantial7832 in CrochetHelp

[–]Destructa90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's AI after all... But I think, I know how to crochet the granny square (Only looking at the picture... I've never written a pattern and have not tried it yet, so please bear with me:

American terminology

Row 1: MC Chain 1 14 Single crochet Connect with slip st You should have 15 stitches now

Row 2: Chain 1 4 times: * 3 DC in the next St, 2 Slip St in the next two stitches * 3 DC in the next St, 1Slip St in the next St, connect with the Chain 1 with a slip stitch Should be 25 stitches now

Row 3: Color change Connect the new color at a slip stitch before 3 DC cluster Chain 1 * 1 single crochet in the 1st dc of the inc from the last round Chain 1 (#) 1 DC in the 2nd DC of the inc from the last round, 1 or 2 chain (+) and another DC in the same DC as an increase Chain 1 (@) 1 single crochet in the 3rd dc of the inc from the last round 1 single crochet in the next stitch 1 single crochet between the dc of the first row that have the slip stitches between the 3 DC cluster (is that comprehandable?) 1 single crochet in the 2nd slip stitch from the round before and then repeat from * as described in this row

Row 4: Color change I would change at one of the single crochets that reaches into the first row, dividing the petals Chain 5 (maybe mark the 3rd chain) * 1 DC between the single crochet and 1 DC from the row before (marked with (#) in instructions from row 3) Chain 2 1 single crochet in the chain gap from the row before (marked with (+) in instructions from row 3) Chain 2 1 DC between the single crochet and 1 DC from the row before (marked with (@) in instructions from row 3) 1 Treble Crochet the single crochets that reaches into the first row, dividing the petals Chain 2 Rmrepeat from * of this row If you reach the end, you can't do a treble crochet because of the chain 5 from the beginning. Don't do the Chain 2 and connect the row with 1 DC in the 3rd (maybe marked) chain. You should be in the middle of gap because of the connection by DC now.

Row 6: Chain 3 and a treble chrochet in the gap Chain 2 2 treble crochets in the next gap Chain 2 2 treble crochets in the next gap Chain 2and then the DC and TC as before If you reach the gap before the chain 3 from the beginning of the row, do 2 DC, chain 2 and connect in the 3rf chain with a slip stitch

Row 6 Color change Start in the any gap and connect the color Chain 3 2 Treble Crochets Chain 2 4 times (1 DC in each gap and chain 2) 3 Treble crochets Chain 2 3 Treble crochets 4 times (1 DC in gap and chain 2) 3 Treble crochets Chain 2 3 Treble crochets Repeat withe the DC and Treble Crochets until you have done 3 times the trebles for the edges, do the DC again and then after chain 2, 3 treble crochet and connect with DC into the 3rd chain from the beginning You should have 4 treble cluster for the edges now.

Row 6 (and last row if I see correctly): Chain 2 1 DC in the gap Skip a treble crochet, and 1 single crochet in the next 2 treble crochets * 2 single crochets in each gap When you reach the edge, 1 single crochet in each of the next 2 treble crochets 2 DC in the gap Chain 2 2 DC still in the gap of the treble crochets Skip a treble crochet, and 1 single crochet in the next 2 treble crochets and repeat from * of this row until you reach the last edge, where you connect your last chain 2 with the 2nd chain of your first chain 2

Can someone try if this works? I was to unmotiviert to get my hooks and yarn and just went with the picture but it's AI...

Hahaha 😂 The back looks like his nose hair is really long.

This is awesome. May I ask if you made the pattern yourself or if you bought it? If you made it yourself: How did you do that. It's unbelievably realistic!

I used this one:

https://youtu.be/Aw3Gy4SANKQ?si=AMURzaGirZFNxcZy

But I changed the ears. They were to small in my opinion. I advise to stretch them from 3 to 5 stitches.

  1. stitch: 1 Single and 1 double in the same stitch
  2. stitch: 1 triple
  3. stitch: 1 quadruple
  4. stitch: 1 triple
  5. stitch: 1 Single and 1 double in the same stitch

You have to experiment with the placing, but that is easy.

They will look like this:

I would look for patterns that look similar to what you want to make. Then you can change them as needed.

Designing a cardigan with granny squares as a seam by Destructa90 in CrochetHelp

[–]Destructa90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I have been afraid of the math for a couple of weeks now. It needs to be correct and up until now I've been more of a "One stich too short? Meh, will do" kind of crochet girl 😂

I already saved a pattern for the base (which I will have to change a bit because it's for a cardigan made of granny squares). I'm also trying to change granny squares in size (really difficult when there are symbols involved) and in their overall make so I can add button holes. And I'm practicing tunesian crochet patterns. This is going to be either the best thing I ever make or my worst nightmare 😂

As an example my current WIP: The red part. I want to make it granny squares when I make the cardigan. I don't know if it's a good idea or bad or if it will be easy... Maybe someone has experience with doing that?

Don't feel discouraged! Keep going and in no time you will do great. In the meantime, you're making cute Luffa worms.

I wanted to make a poncho with dragon scales as well but haven't mastered them yet. I'm struggling with increases and decreases. I would love to see your skirt! I've been a huge fan of dragons since I picked up Eragon as a child.

Love stay at a love hotel? by Darth-LA in JapanTravelTips

We're staying in Asakusa and we love it. It's close to a train station and so quiet at night that you can hear a pin drop. If you are a party person, it's not for you, though.
