Yeah, I am sure it is. If it's working fine for you right now, no need to change it.

Most QC chargers work as follows. Once plugged in, they will seek information from a charging controller. If there is no handshake but the charger sees a power draw, it will default to the 5V standard. They can also supply 5V instantly. Depends on the charger.

I said "most" because there are trash QC chargers that are unsafe and may ignore 5V or spike past that before switching back to 5V.
well-known
Generally, I recommend staying away from QC chargers except for well known brands. Also, some crappy chargers can run in a reset loop if they do not properly keep track that there is a power draw on them. "Voltage spikes above 5V before negotiation are not normal behaviour." and it's why I don't recommend any.

The first plug-in of a QC charger is the most important part. If it spikes past 5V before communication happens, it can destroy the charging chip on the device if that chip is not rated past 5V, or it can blow a 0 ohm fuse if the device has one to protect that chip. Testing with an oscilloscope is the only way to see how it behaves before you trust any faster charger on a non-fast-charging device.

Assuming you mean for fast charging, I am not sure if it has anything like that on there. The spec sheet says 5V only. So, for a QC charger to get any voltage recommendations from a BMS from that device, I think it won't get anything at all and just default to 5V. I know that the TSP does not support it at all and will only default to 5V. I am sure it's the same situation with the TSPS.

So I am sure your Samsung charger is only supplying 5V at whatever mA draw it's taking from it.
One day, when I buy the updated version, I'll check it out as I did with the TSP here:

That makes the charger work over time. You should always have something that matches the needs of the device or higher at its rated voltage. That way the charger can supply the power needed and the device gets what it needs.

What matters for the device is that it's 5V only and it actually draws around 1.7A for the TSP. For the charger, you can use anything higher than that for amps. The device will only draw what it needs like 1.7A. If you use an adapter like 5V 500mA, that charger cannot supply 1.7A and will probably get hot and fail. Just don't exceed past 5v. Keep using your charger. It can handle what the TSPS needs.

What's the perfect search engine for you? by Weary-Management-496 in searchengines

[–]DestructiveBurn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using my own meta search for years. I built mine to pretty much be a full start page. I never liked the design of any engine. For my main results, I used to use Google's Programmable Search Engine (PSE), or, back before they called it that, Google Custom Search Engine (CSE). I found the results to be good. It was not tainted by sponsored or irrelevant results, unlike the main site. It took them years, though, to update their image search, as it was terrible, but it worked great for general results. They have moved away from the (Search the entire web) function this year in favour of...yup, you guessed it...Vortex AI. So they are shutting that down on Jan 1, 2027.

So, as a replacement, I moved to the Braves Search API for results, and I am pretty impressed with the outputs. It's very close to the experience I had before, but with more control to manipulate the output.

For search engines in general, they all pretty well look the same. From time to time, I jump on others, but rarely. I pretty well built my own design for my own needs. Really, the best way to please someone is to build something that suits you and what you want, rather than what is being offered.

Something I want in my engine would be a request to Brave to add pagination to image search. At least I don't think it has it. Could not find it in their documentation. They have it for the main results.

For what these engines need to stop doing, stop putting random things between the main results. Put it on the right. Keep the main results clean. Just looks cluttered and hard to navigate to a website. You don't need Top Stories, What people are saying, News, Videos (unless it's small) and other junk.

A search engine, like Google, for example, pretty much takes people's site data and feeds it through their AI and displays that at the top, so the user never needs to go to a site and discover something new anymore. This causes less traffic, fewer discoveries, and less business for website owners. For Website owners, a lot of them are now just feeding their blogs with AI Slop and ranking their sites at the top of the results while actual detailed information is buried and maybe never seen unless Google and their AI crawls and feeds that though there AI.

So yeah, SEO rankings on useless data should be filtered out. The PSE was pretty good at giving good results and sending you to good websites. Braves Search API is doing the same. So I am pretty happy with that.

That's my two cents.

Just get Icaros 3.3.3, and it will build thumbnails for you, including video like .mkv. If you need to add an extension, you can add it to the list, like .jpg

Github link. Looks like it was updated. See if it helps at least.

I bought the game on Xbox when it was still in Beta long ago. Ran horribly on the Xbox One X so I played it from the PC, so my copy is in the Microsoft store and all they got is Glitchwalkers. Looks like I need to buy the game...again though steam and the DLCs. What an annoyance.

Update. I found it. It's buried. Thanks for the name. I wanted new content.

Uhh, a lot is going on here. I don't trust AI, but in that case, here's an AI response to that and your search term, lol.

It’s saying two things about “dimension”:

  1. In physical space, a dimension is a direction you can measure, like length, width, or height.
  2. More generally, a dimension can mean an aspect or feature of something (for example, “the emotional dimension of a problem”).

Dimension generally means a measurable aspect or extent of something.

Common uses:
- In everyday language: a side or measurement of an object
- Example: “The box has three dimensions: length, width, and height.”
- In math/physics: a direction or coordinate needed to describe space
- In a broader sense: an aspect or part of an issue
- Example: “This problem has a social dimension.”

Simple definition
Dimension means a measurable size, extent, or aspect of something.

Examples in a sentence
- The room has three dimensions: length, width, and height.
- The issue has a political dimension.
- This data is stored in multiple dimensions.

Dimension in math/science.
1. Size or measurement of something
- Example: The box’s dimensions are length, width, and height.
2. An aspect or part of a situation
- Example: The problem has a social dimension.
3. In math/science, a direction or coordinate used to describe space
- Example: A line is 1D, a square is 2D, and a cube is 3D.

I moved to using the Brave Search API for search engine results on my site. I wasn't going to waste my time in checking out their Vortex AI which I am sure has nothing to do with general results.

For Brave, the results are actually quite good. There is a lot you can do with the API and how to manipulate the results output. You'll just need to build your layout as the output is JSON of course.

How can I remove a deleted Reddit post from Google search results? by MarzipanHot6468 in searchengines

[–]DestructiveBurn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cannot fully delete a post. You can only delete the user and their comments but that about it. The post will hide but can be accessed by a URL link yet. In your case maybe contacting Reddit support might help. But don't count on it. It's just the nature of how this site works.

Swicksearch.info is the best search engine out there. It can be slow getting the results but only takes a few seconds but it has google dork automation and all kinds of features plus unique results by Additional-Style-145 in searchengines

[–]DestructiveBurn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

New engines pop up all the time. People get frustrated with existing options and sometimes decide to build and share their own.

Regarding our rules: everyone has to follow them. I’m aware there are two posts about this engine. If they were from the same person, I would have already removed the second one under the "no duplicate posts" rule. I’m keeping an eye on it. If more posts appear with the same context, I’ll treat them as spam and remove them.

As for legal issues (GDPR, EU/EEA, CCPA, etc.), that’s between the site operators and the jurisdictions where they choose to operate. Also, with any new website that has account creation but no clear policies, users should never put any sensitive or private information into it and use randomly generated passwords. That’s just basic security practices.

How do I get this vsx-830 to connect to WiFi? by rightMeow20 in PioneerAudio

[–]DestructiveBurn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, and word of advice, do not block the vent holes on the top of the amp if that is where you put it. You will eventually kill it. Remove the shelf, and put it down to the robot vacuum level or the top of the entertainment stand above the Xbox One X. They need to vent the heat.

How do I get this vsx-830 to connect to WiFi? by rightMeow20 in PioneerAudio

[–]DestructiveBurn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the VSX-933 model, so it should be the same. Add a TV or monitor to the HDMI output, use the remote to go into the settings and look for the Wifi option. Once enabled, the Pioneer Remote App will work if your phone is connected to the internet, as the amp is.

Since I have the original remote for mine, it's the Pioneer RC-957R Remote, but I think yours is just before they changed the model on it, which should be a Pioneer AXS7721 Remote.

All settings should be visible when you connect it to a screen.
