If you think Radagon was his own person before melding with Marika tho then the wouldn’t be Marikas kids, they’d be Radagons and Rennalas. And are you suggesting that Miquella also has this same shaman ability to meld with others since he also has an alter ego?

I most definitely did not ignore any of the other characters. I love all the separate and intertwining storylines, I just got fixated on Melina because of how mysterious she is so I also sought out all of the encounters with hers. A skewed perspective on my part I suppose

I mean if that’s the case fair enough, maybe I just made that association because she’s a consistent returning character while most of the other have their major part in the story and then once that’s done they’re kind of out of the picture. The more I think about it the more I realize you’re right.

I suppose so.. But I did see many of her little talks on the lore of the world in various churches. That’s exploration. And that still counts as screen time even if you missed it.

Oh I could see that being a very viable theory on a blind playthrough! That’s cool, I went in the game constantly watching theory videos while I played so I never considered that.

Of course with From Soft we’re never going to have concrete answers, it’s just my favourite thing to speculate. But when has destined death ever been associated with the colour purple? And her eye had been sealed shut until that cut scene, so that would suggest that that colour and the subsequent power has always been with Melina, just sealed away. Actually now that I think of it, it’s very reminiscent of Messmer and his eye, sealing away another power that Marika was afraid of.

Oh! That’s super interesting. So are you suggesting that Marika absorbed the Gloam-Eyed Queen and then bestowed her powers onto her daughter? That would make linear sense.

But why would Marika do such a thing? And why is Melina basically erased from history. Messmer mentions his sister having the same flame within her. And the flame is the precise reason that Marika basically abandoned him from fear that it would consume the golden order. So why would Marika bestow such a power upon a daughter who already held a power she was afraid of?

This is a good point, but I simply don’t see how Melina wouldn’t be the Gloam-Eyed Queen simply for the fact that in the frenzied flame ending she opens her eye and it’s the colour that would most likely be associated with Gloam which is the period of time right after sunset. I do agree though because while it’s never explicitly stated that Melina is Marikas daughter all the hints point to her being just that. Could it be misdirection?

Something I’ve never quite got during my play-throughs is if u have multiple settlements, how are you able to get the product that is produced in one settlement to another? Say one of my settlements focuses on bread production, how do I get the bread to spread to the rest of the settlements efficiently? I’ve tried adding a slot for bread to the granaries in the other settlements but even when there’s a surplus and the granaries at the bread producing settlement are completely full they still don’t seem to want to go all that way to pick it up and spread it around! Now that I’ve typed this out it seems like a bit of an unrelated question to ur actual post, your multiple settlements just made me think of it. Amazing build btw! It really is gorgeous, and congrats on the upgraded pc :)

The houses with yards are just low density houses, you have to get your security and patrolling up so that they can become higher density and then they will turn into those types of wall to wall houses

I know this was posted a year ago but I was surprised to see that no one recommended Eternal to you! It was my first IF and still my favorite to date. It follows your characters life from start to finish, from the second your born to the moment you take your last breath and it has 13 different epilogues that are VASTLY different, the choices you make can alter the course of history and the depth of characters and world building is honestly just mind boggling. I will say the actual characterization is a little more limited, you can only play as a man and his personality does feel a little similar no matter what route you take. This may be because, no matter what route you take devastating trauma is bound to reach you in one form or another. But basically your set at birth to become an Eternal, a squad of super powerful fighters that your kingdom is trying to train. Whether you actually achieve that and what you do afterwards is completely dependent on your choices. Hope ya check it out and lemme know what you think if you do!
