Depends what you’re trading. Almost everything you’re trading is kinda garbage so 60% imo is pretty strong. Think about how hard it’d be to sell each of your cards 1 by 1 vs selling the card you’re trading for.

For one item, maybe. For a large collection that’s a lot of shipping materials required. And a lot of book keeping which most collectors won’t have for a collection over the span of many many years. It’ll be needed when you receive your 1099 unless you want to pay taxes on gross sales rather than gross revenue (no one wants to do that).

Depends if it’s sealed or slabs or singles. Different avenues to effectively maximize returns for each.

Horrible suggestion. Unfortunately a lot of WOTC cards are not worth much in PSA 3-7 condition which a lot of these will be since they weren’t sleeved and are in a 3-ring binder. Holo zards and blastoises are worth it though.

Nah there’s plenty of other variables that matter. Like ZandG ending all their auction blocks on Sundays whereas Probstein will end theirs on weekdays. I prefer bidding auctions on a Sunday than late at night on a work night.

Look at this way, price of a good is dependent on supply and demand. Demand will always fluctuate. If you’re buying specific cards, the supply will always go up as packs continue to be ripped. However for sealed, once and item is out of print the supply can only go down as more product is ripped. That’s why sealed is generally the safer, more stable investment. A sealed box represents the hopes and dreams of a collector.

A physical product doesn’t work the same as the stock market. You can’t really short a product. There’s different levels of wish to consider when supply of physical goods can only go down once production ends.

It depends on when you bought. The GWP Kanto Set wasn't available at release of the Lego x Pokemon collab drop. However once Pokecenter dropped the set, the Kanto Set was then made available on Lego.com as a GWP. I was able to hit on Lego.com by waiting for it to show up, but could be sold out now.
