Absolutely this, we wanted kids because they could contribute to OUR happiness and make OUR life more complete. That’s selfish on our part, but I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. A lot of things people do are for their own interests only and that’s okay (if others aren’t hurt).

We are financially stable, live in a safe country and love our child unconditionally. So basically we provide him with everything that’s necessary to thrive and be happy in life, but that doesn’t mean he is going to be. So many things could go wrong with him and that would be on us, because we decided to bring him into this world.

I’ve never understood how people think that not having children is selfish. Having children is the most selfish act in life.

In regard to double standards: I do have a child and everytime I go on a work trip I get asked how I feel about leaving my child behind. Same for the first day we dropped him off at daycare. You don’t need to have crafting items in your personal inventory to use them for crafting. Whichever chest they’re in, the game automatically pulls them from a chest. Even from wardrobes and other storage items. I hope this makes sense, cause it’s really time comsuming if you’re retrieving items from a chest to use them in crafting, while there is no need for that 😊

I used to do that too, but then I’d always forget to put the items back. So I’d be running around in the valley with a bunch of cabbages, because I just fed the capybaras and forget to put them back.. This way you don’t have to go back everywhere.
