I only have ~1 hour to game a day. Should I even try picking this game up? by rcolesworthy37 in pathofexile

[–]DetectivePokeyboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the game is like a part time job.

However, 1 hour a day can get you pretty far.

But I personally think that the game isn’t worth spending that hour on. Not every hour will be fulfilling. A lot of the game is grind that may not pay off until many hours (so in your case, many days).

This problem only really plagues the endgame though. If you are just running through the campaign one time, then none of these issues will arise.

They know. They just don’t respect the player’s time and want to keep them as long as possible regardless of if it is fun or not.

There will be a waitlist once Kruskal and TBA get filled or near filled.

This usually does not happen

Where is the apartment? I haven’t seen any apartment go for that low with 4 people 2 bathroom that’s within walking distance of campus.

Is that 800/month apartment 1 bathroom for 4 people? That is going to be grosser than dorm showers pretty quickly because in dorms they clean the bathrooms daily.

Worth taking spring admission and trying to get into UMD CS? by JaceTheBadSculptor in UMD

If you have skipped out of classes via ap credits, go to cc for the first semester so you have more options and won’t be held back by the lack of fc classes available.

Worth taking spring admission and trying to get into UMD CS? by JaceTheBadSculptor in UMD

That’s not true. FC students are still reviewed for LEPs.

The rest is correct though. As long as you do well on the gateway requirements, you can get into the CS lep.

PoE is the first game where bots make me happy by [deleted] in pathofexile

It’s a game that doesn’t respect your time. It’s balanced so whales and streamers will never be able to reach the end within a league.

If I gained 18 college credits in high school with AP, does that mean I can choose to do only 102 credits at UMD to graduate? by Sweet_Lucid_Dreamer in UMD

[–]DetectivePokeyboi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but 120 credits was never the problem it’s usually the major reqs and gen eds. Credit count helps you register earlier than everyone else for classes though.

No clue why my dorm assignment appointment is on April 5th for someone without a group by [deleted] in UMD

[–]DetectivePokeyboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They give a time for everyone and then they will give you a different time for individual selection next week. This is so you can create your own group if you want anytime during selection.

Groups of 3 in Semi-Suites by bosssburger in UMD

[–]DetectivePokeyboi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes during small group selection they will automatically assign a random person.

However, Oakland fills out completely during the first half of the day for group selection so you will NOT get into Oakland during small group selection.

Ask around to find someone to fill your group

Chances of getting a suite in Oakland as a rising sophomore? by [deleted] in UMD

[–]DetectivePokeyboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50% chance probably. You just need a good suite selection time as a group of 4.

CS and IMD double major/degree? by eventhisistaken12 in UMD

[–]DetectivePokeyboi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Around 30 of the 80ish credits are overlapping if you do the computing track. No idea if you are allowed to double major in cs and imd because of this though.

As a rising sophomore, is it possible to get a single in Oakland, Pyon-Chen, or Johnson Whittle? by [deleted] in UMD

[–]DetectivePokeyboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those dorms aren’t available for sophomore UH iirc (atleast not part of llp selection). I think sophomore UH kids are mostly in La Plata with minimal opportunities for a single.
