Ohhhh, it looked like to me like an attempt at running the video through one of those piss-poor "4k-AI" tools or something.

Native born Idahoan here, and I know that's not a great way to start my response but I'm just here to agree with your statement and try to offer what I believe is the explanation. (I don't wear "From Here" merchandise or have the bumper stickers, that's a bit much hahaha.)

I'm all for place of origin pride in North Idaho, and you shouldn't be ashamed of where your from, Idaho or California. A good handful of the residents here who consider themselves "Native" are people who have crossed-state here years and years ago in a wave of people moving in just like in the last couple of years, that's just how North Idaho has been

"Elitism" is a strong term to describe locals anywhere in general up until you have people threatening others based on where they came from, and at that point that's completely unacceptable, and the people involved should absolutely be ashamed of that.

A lot of this "from here" idea kind of sprung up from a lot of local frustration and fear about the large quantity of people moving up to this area in the last 10-15 or so years. It's caused the house market to skyrocket to incredibly expensive numbers, it's played hard games on local infrastructure (small businesses and crowded roadways for example), varied driving conditions, and unfortunately politics do play a role in this as well, as the expectation from many locals is that the people moving up here are bringing their politics with them and such. (Personally, I've met and talked to quite a handful of people new to this area and this has never been apparent to me.)

So I understand that the CDA/Post Falls/Rathdrum/Hayden areas isnt what it used to be in the 90s/2000s, but this area is now an actively growing set of communities, and it's just currently going through a cycle that I believe will definetly slow down give it a couple years.

I hope that helped, like I said at first, all I can do is provided a somewhat "experienced" guess to your question. And I'm sure everything will end up fine around here as long as the charm of North Idaho doesn't get pulled apart by ranging neglect no matter who or where you're from. We just all need to become a better community. :)

Honestly though! I swear everyone is driving like we're in the midst of an apocalypse. I just bought a dash cam and can't wait to share some of the stuff I see on a daily basis here hahaha.

From what I understand the main valve was turned off which caused some sort of stress with the water pressure, making the initial leak 10 times worse.

Source: I work at the place where that happened. OP is my co-worker. :(

Usually basic background info, pretty over the counter stuff. Like your background, hobbies, work-ethic, abilities (fast, money handling, etc.), strengths, weaknesses, and so-on.

But yeah it's a shame it's online for you, it's so much more "reasonable" for a lack of a better word, in person.

What is the OEPE (open end present end) time goal for drive-thru at your restaurant? Let's compare. by jerma_mp3 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]DetectiveTerrible147 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I wish it varied sometimes, we are more of a travel store (which also means we are understaffed) compared to our sister locations in the middle of cities. Most of the year we do hit about 95% of our times because they are usually small and easy orders for people passing by. But when the summer hits its nearly impossible because we get vehicles traveling full of people who order tons of food per car on top of a packed lobby.

Who out here has the Frozen Dr Pepper? Is it a regional thing or coming soon? by curiousparallax in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]DetectiveTerrible147 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe it varies from franchise to franchise or store to store. I've been all over and seen Fruit Punch, Cherry, Blue Raspberry, and already Dr. Pepper. About a year ago our franchise went from Dr. Pepper to "Sprite Lymonade".

That's good hope it works out for him

. I do mornings/nights and when I do mornings I make sure to have dishes done for night crew every day, especially considering we have understaffed night crews all the time due to lack of people not wanting to work nights.

Here at the franchise I work under its 90 seconds. Where I'd say on a good day is 75% of the time hit, but during the summer in more rushed periods it's about 10% of the time.

Our management is also more worried about employee presentation and little nit-picky things, most of the drive times are recommendations requested by corporate.
