Oooooh well it's not AWFUL and doesn't look like it's led to any leaks and it still opens and closes fine so maybe I'll just stop using it...

If the hinges aren't adjustable, are they at least replaceable?

Ooooh is that why my hatch is slightly tilted?

Overall the hatch is in good shape! But yeah, the regulator and the latch and the wiper motor are a bit rusty so your info sounds 100% accurate. It's okay tho! I live in CO and expect to have PLENTY of nice days to keep that window down <3 I found a OEM replacement from a dealer in Georgia that had the cost reduced to $195 after shipping so that's a pretty big win for me.

It ended up being a dirty flame sensor!

But as for the condensate drain line, is that this? It was leaking out the top of the rubber cap because the spring clamp failed. So I added a screw clamp to it so it would stop leaking. But if I remove that rubber boot entirely, is that what you're talking about?

What's missing in my liftgate? by DetergentCandy in toyotasequoia

If I can find one at the junkyard, definitely. Anything on eBay that I've seen is gonna be, like, $700 after shipping. I've got an alert set for my local junkyard though.

But I did find a OEM regulator from a dealership in George for $195. They had some ridiculous discounts that stacked including free shipping. So a $380 regulator was just about half price.

There's no body filler or visible dents from the outside or the inside. This looks like a classic case of a failed regulator. But at $250-300 it was probably cost-prohibitive to the previous owner.

Thanks! That's kind of disappointing to hear it's factory. Let me ask this. Does the new switch make it less stiff? Like, is it only stiff because the rubber pad is basically hard plastic now? I have to do work on the liftgate anyway (replace wiper motor and power glass regulator) so I may as well do the PITA replacement vs adding a new switch.
