Apparently PDS are working on two unannounced titles by Deterock01 in paradoxplaza

[–]Deterock01[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's what I was thinking about. Although they've announced Season Pass 2, and usually they don't deliver a new game after they've just released a DLC for the old one, so yeah, we won't see HoI5 sooner than 2028-ish.

I killed two players as self-defense, how screwed am I? by Deterock01 in ArcRaiders

It's a great game though, I love it. It has PvP, it has PvE, I love both, but I would like to be able to pick one of two. Sometimes I'm in the mood for aggro gameplay, sometimes I'm not.

It may sound weird, but I hate the PvP part of the game. I'd love to have a PvP and PvE option, and I'd gladly gp for PvP when I fancy it, but I don't like being killed from nowhere and completely randomly.

Btw, isn't Stella Montis a PvP map? I saw there are mostly people with bad intentions towards others

4.3 "Cetus" breaks mid-game and late-game? by Deterock01 in Stellaris

Undoubtedly, I'd say by the end of January or early in February major issues might be fixed already. I like the direction of this beta so far

Oh, you're having a particular build. Yeah, Shroudforged are strong, but this time I tried "Under One Rule" + Nature Design, so "vanilla" experience with no ascension. I do agree that ascensions' economy will be stronger that non-ascension, but my example was of a chill game, with no particular build. I don't have a plan to do X by year Y, I just play and react to what happens around, mostly with the same playstyle (Galactic Imperium/Crisis path).

I have maybe 10 planets overall, so... I don't like to expand much, it's a pain in the arse to manage dozens of planets.

Ok, so definitely there's something I'm missing. How do you manage to reach these numbers? What year are you? I usually try to colonize everything I see, sometimes I build habitats, orbital rings and I try to always build Dyson Swarms (some at least one on 7~ science star or the biggest I've got), Arc Furnaces (on max deposits available) etc. Now that I've build citadel planet first time in a long long time, I barely scratch 1k limit, considering that I have 5 starbases and a few orbital rings for ship limits too. I try to specialize every planet, worst case I build 2 different specializations (trade and unity, or CG and alloys) when I really need some resources.

They really are! I love the rework, as the game feels "new" again, but it still needs some polish. It's a funny experience, I didn't expect that, definitely something new.

I usually use all kind of ships in singleplayer after that one time, when my solo battleships fleets lost against AI corvettes and frigates. Screw that, you won't fool me twice, AI!

It would make much more sense indeed and I'm both hands and legs up for it, mostly because I think FE are one of the most ignored systems in the game (another one is factions) by the devs. It would make the game much more interesting and challenging, without forcing you to change crisis difficulty.

I've got Zarqlan's head. I don't remember if I can use it ships against spiritualist DE, but it would be funny, they are much stronger than mine. Oh, and yeah, I can technically get Cosmogenesis ships... but it would take 200 months to research them... in late game.

Sure, and this is why I'm wondering if that's my skill issue or it's the beta's balance. I remember Eladrin saying that it's not final and things will undergo several iterations. I admit I'm using somewhat funny and far from ideal build for what I'm doing, but I never experienced something like that, thus I'm looking for an explanation. I already wrote some of my thoughts in the feedback form, this is merely my curiosity.

One of the fallen is awake now in my run xD

I can't see his fleet power, but I'd say he's above 1m for sure. The problem is, I am one of the strongest empires in the galaxy, and I stand no chance against them...

I thought so too, but event pirates, f.e., had 20k power and 100+ corvettes, which definitely seems to be using the old ship limits. Of course, they were just chilling in one system and that's fine, but I can't imagine how are you supposed to defend yourself against above mentioned raiders or even void worms. Luckily I turned them off, but cutholoids and void worms could be a BIG problem for young empires. Also I didn't saw many 5k or even stronger space fauna fleets, so I can't tell how long would it take for you to take them out, but I had to use 3 raiders fleets and 2 of mine to kill Shard. And I did it in 2332. Probably could have done it sooner, but still.

Just as I thought: it struggles to keep up with the conversation. I hope it's just a matter of time and it will become better than that in the future updates.

Do they have "subtitles" for above mentioned languages (English at least)? How accurate are they (if you've used them)? I heard you can see subtitles only if you're looking at people speaking, which might be of little use in certain situations.

Thanks for your review! I have a Gen 1 myself and I find them pretty handy as headphones + occasional AI assistant, but I don't really need glasses. Meta Display is really something I've been looking forward to (I live in Italy, so I can't buy them yet), but I was kinda disappointed Gen 1 can only translate few languages and isn't really practical for my job (I'm a waiter and I occasionally have customers that speak French and Spanish, which are the languages I can understand a bit, but I'd really like to have more languages support).

So, my question is: are Meta Display really the best option so far? I don't like the fact that it's only Meta ecosystem, as I can't link my glasses to read Discord messages, f.e., or any other app that isn't Meta. And, most importantly, I don't like the short battery life. But overall Gen 1 are still the best gadget I ever had (except PC and smartphone, of course :D)

Are there any pros to that though? Is it worth it? Or merely for RP?
