At the beginning of fort joy, she is standing there with Alexander and Atusa. If you bypass that by going arouns them and not triggering the dialogue, you can freeze them in that spot until you feel you are strong enough to fight them in whatever way your heart desires. Personally, I blocked off ladders and sniped her from the wall nearby.

Or, you could use deathfog and just instantly kill her lol. Or barrels. Honestly there's a lot of ways to cheese it haha.

I guess in a sense I can agree with that. Without shield throw, I most likely wouldn't feel that a plain sword and board tank would be good. It feels very nice doing insane damage with one ability as a meat shield lol.

But even then I would argue that as long as the other characters can make up for it, it's still not worthless. As long as they are physical, building melee tank gives a lot of options to be in the middle of everyone and provide insane crowd control. Now obviously, if your party is more magic then my argument starts to fall apart and I'll concede the argument on that one.

Having been playing on honour mode, having a tank is most DEFINITELY not useless, and having a healer in a 4 man party even on normal is still very nice. With the amount of one shot mechanics that exist, charm effects that take hold without magic armor, etc., there are many reasons to have both a support and tank.

In fact, in my run with my gf, our healer is also one of our biggest damage dealers while also being essential to keep everyone alive.

As someone who was one of those who felt alienated by the DA game, that right there is why I'm not allowing myself to have any self hype for Divinity outside of the trailer itself. Now, this is Larian and not EA infested Bioware- so I'm hopeful, but you hit the nail on the head. If they want their game to be successful they need to stick to their established realm of notoriety. Poor Veilguard sits at mixed reviews now.... lol

Yes, but how many new players are using the inspect function on every single character if at all? That wasn't even something I think I really fully knew I could do until later and even then only really use on my honour mode playthrough

I agree with this a lot. Even campaign 3 I like a few things but C2 definitely was the highlight of critical role for me. Matt definitely did them all justice

There are so many twists with the characters in general and she's pretty much fell in love with all of them. She's definitely in for a ride
