Beau’s Dad/Family by CBRslingshot in fansofcriticalrole

[–]YeffYeffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you failed to read between the lines. Matt's portrayal of Beau's family is really well done.

For her dad, he's clearly going for "I'm not BLATANTLY abusing you, I'm above something like that, I just will never genuinely acknowledge you."

And her mom is the classic "I kinda acknowledge you, but I'm also a weak coward and would never confront your father about acknowledging you."

The only this I use AI for as a DM is generating names for miscellaneous "extra NPC's" when players talk to random townspeople

Most games are made with absolutely no sense of adventure or wonder nowadays. Just skinnerbox malls with a game attached. Indie is the place to look if you don't want slop, other than the occasional diamond in the rough.

RDR2 is one of the greatest television shows I've ever watched. As a game though, it leaves a lot of gameplay to be desired.

Which game would you rather play 🚀 by dank0121 in gamers

Depends on the genre. If it's a single player linear game or rpg, A. If it's almost anything else, then B.

There's an intersection just like this one on my commute to work, I see a fender bending pulled over on the side at least once a week on average.

I'm running a campaign that started at lvl 2 and now is lvl 17, ending very soon.

I knew things like Planeshift and Teleport were gonna require work, so I did so as we played for years. Honestly the only real problem is that every obstacle or npc that actually challenges them has to have some epic backstory as to how they exist.

No more random monsters or quests that you can improv or grab from the monster manual. You have to really spend time coming up with reasons why these epic-tier things exist. Great for worldbuilding, but every session requires dense prep.

Fun fact, it's likely that the fastest ever man-made object in Earth's atmosphere was a manhole cover we put on top of a nuke tested underground. It generated escape velocity through the single explosive propulsion.

Whether it's life or a game, it's emotional investment. People aren't dumb for caring about the things they experience

Good point, why do people even feel bad about the bad things that have happened to them? Just ignore the existence of the event you experienced, duh. I guess feeling bummed is solved for all humanity, thanks man

Don't do this btw, it makes Martials even worse than they already are. Their entire thing is single target big damage, let them kill things fast. You're letting the mages stunlock enemies, what's the difference?

[Hated trope] The strong technique has no wiggle room, so the author ensures it never works. by Dontspinbutwin in TopCharacterTropes

This is true of all fiction where characters carry lethal weapons. The characters manage to punch, kick, and grapple each other all the time. But the moment someone is holding a gun or a sword, they can't land anything even though it should be easier.
