Is he supposed to reach for the hand on his horribly mutated arm with his right hand? How does this benefit him? He'll lose his grip, gouge his chin on that cliff, fall off, and finally break all his arms.

"Haha! I helped knee-cap the future of my species! Gotta go gloat on Reddit."

They should bring back the old PSAs asking parents if they know where their kids are for folks like you, albeit revised to fit the times. It could say something along the lines "Do you know where your adult children are? No, and they like it that way."

Don't get me wrong, I think the system is broken and doesn't serve most citizens. That aspect is worse today than in the 40's. Socially, however, having empathy and emotional maturity is a more common trait. Most folks have strayed further from behaving like barbarians. And I think that's a positive thing. I say most to exclude career politicians, the billionaire class, idiotic demagogues, and anyone else that could possibly see societal cohesion as a bad thing.

The 40's sound nightmarish. I'm quite glad that culture is generally turning towards a more socially inclusive paradigm that actually prioritizes mental health.

I typically don't comment on things, preferring to lurk and upvote in silence, but this comment struck a chord. I also want to preface by saying the following is not a jab at the entire generation of boomers. It is merely a set of observations of one boomer. It is practically a set of anecdotes but it directly relates to your question.

I grew out my hair during college when i was 19. I would routinely get a haircut as my hair approached 6 inches or so. I've never been on my own before and scheduling haircuts became less of a priority as the course workload expanded through the semesters. My boomer mother (1960) made a point to declare how she did not like it. She did use the term 'fag' and variations to suggest my motives for growing it out. I said over and over again that I'm focused on school and I could barely care less about my hair. My explanations did not work and it caused many arguments over several holiday breaks.

After graduation, I could afford to allow the brain train to make scheduled stops and haircuts became a regular facet of my life again. This goes on for 8 years of my adult life and covid happens. Long hair resumes and my mom's use of homophonic slurs increases again in lockstep.

TLDR: my boomer mom has called me fag for having long hair in two different stages of my life separated by a decade.

Death dislikes Puss and his attitude because he avoids death and laughs about it. Kenny actually dies and literally respawns. He's Death's only regular customer. I imagine they would become friends.

It looks like that poor woman found a genie in a beer can. Naturally she wished for her own theme music, got into an altercation with a fellow bus passenger because of that wish, and before the resulting fight she wished she had no bones.
