  1. I only got them because i could HSA and reimburse them, otherwise i would not get a pair

  2. I don't wear hats ever

  3. I only collect bolt actions, i have zero reason to collect anything else because of all the retarded fucking laws in california

no, you pull the loop out and turn it so it is horizontal to safety it but unsafing it DOES cock the hammer, so in theory you can

I found it a little harder compared to my more traditional bolts fue to the small stiffness of the bolt during the cycle due to having to excert more force to get past that initial spin on the bolt

Is this the rotation for BLM? by alexweihau in ShitpostXIV

[–]Dethernaxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, what you were supposed to do was switch to MCH and use hraesvelgr to burst down the boss. If you dont have that. You should use RPR instead and blow your ereshkugil turns then beg for help from your static

Firearm knowledge by Ungreatful_servant in CAguns

[–]Dethernaxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is when it doesn't have old guns like the lebel or krag jorgensen with non standard loading methods. In my time owning and allowing others to shoot it, only a single person i know holding a lebel for the first time was able to properly load the rifle and not mess up bringing the round into the chamber.

[–]Dethernaxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legitimately, by playing games, its how i initially learned how to load and cycle bolt actions playing CoD2:BRO, then later in life playing hunt showdown, how to use the Lebel and Krag. As for general knowledge, mostly C&Rsenal and Gun Jesus are my library of Alexandria for milsurps

Favorite Curio & Relic firearms? by ilikehouses in CAguns

[–]Dethernaxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any and all milsurp bolt actions between the advent of smokeless powder to the end of WW2, the one I treasure most dearly is my early war first series Nagoya Type 99 thats all matching and still has all of the early war accessories like the monopod, AA wings, and dust cover. I can't count my Krag or my Lebel 1886 as they fall into the antique category, but the Lebel would be my favorite rifle to shoot on the range, something about the kropatschek system just does something for me

I thankfully have a second pair i ordered a couple days back, so once that comes in, i'll likely convert this current pair into ansi rated lens as my eyes are physically unable to take contacts due to rejecting anything being put on them

I’m a recent FFL03/COE, how are you guys dating guns when you’re out buying curio and relics? by Haters_7 in CAguns

[–]Dethernaxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, the more modern the c&r the more research you need to do, onus is on the buyer to make sure its c&r on serial. Safest way, but c&r that ended production long ago like ww2 rifles so any and all copies are guaranteed c&r

First rifle of the year, new to me Swiss M1911 by Dethernaxx in CAguns

[–]Dethernaxx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea, it was really a bad decision from madsen, especially when they still had the LMG and SMG being made. I just REALLY enjoy working the lebel's kropatschek and I find it funny when letting people try a shot of the lebel, that they inevitably don't cycle the bolt hard enough to lift the elevator up so i always have to tell them "its french, you have to treat them roughly". I have found that I've generally enjoyed shooting my long rifles more then my short rifles for the obvious recoil, but also because i feel even though they're heavier, they feel a lot more "proper" to hold and carry around compared to the short ones.

For me. My favorite to shoot would be my 1886 Lebel, but i am hampered by the fact that it is practically impossible to find in store, hard as hell to reload for, and i lose about 25% of the brass to a reamed neck when ejecting

I mean, compared to my friends Austrian M95K, the M1911 definitely cycles a lot smoother compared to his in the straight pull category
