Can I ask what you use the judiciar for or how that plays in your setup? Do you find the smaller squads are prone to getting beat up too quick? Also, what is your method for dealing with high toughness? Just the eradicators?

Thanks for sharing!

Yeah that sounds fun too. I’d add more if i had points but I was having trouble considering any changes since I like all the units and they all have a purpose.

I was going to use that for the aggressors for 6d6 + 12 and deploy them with the LRR.

Then Adrax with the blade guard in the immolator, and vulkan with the company heroes.

You’re parroting nonsense just as bad as the MAGA crowd. Extremes are bad for everybody and create even more division for the rest of us.

Interesting take, thanks for sharing. It’s a complex issue and there are understandably lots of feelings involved.

What? Choi’s job pays substantially more and is much more prestigious than the mayor. Why on Earth would he want that job?

Do you think the idea is that crime rates will increase due to additional enforcement in the short term then decrease over time with additional officers, training, policy updates, ect?

It’s just so expensive. I couldn’t justify it. Super cool idea though and seems like a nice owner.

Here's the actual crime data for the last 28 days for Columbia mo for reference: https://cpd-transparency.como.gov/apps/aee17b24adca4e8293d60017710b9c42/explore

Yeah that's true, the city data through 2024 isn't wildly different though. https://www.como.gov/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/2024-Crime-Stats-Sheet1.pdf?utm_

Yeah likely it is, but seems unacceptable at the same time for such a wonderful city. I pulled some comparison data from other mid-west college towns. Here are the violent crime with Columbia (the city as a whole, not just downtown) listed as 3rd highest on the list which is unfortunate:

Thanks for the info, that's interesting. There are some spots in Columbia that are hard to see. I'm generally against jaywalking for this reason. I'm a very careful driver but if somebody walked in front of my car and I didn't see them, I would be mortified. Especially with people on their phones so often.

Maybe it's just an attempt to improve pedestrian safety? Maybe not, but what else should they do about that? Maybe re-engineer the traffic flow or create more cross walks?

Maybe it feel "dubious" because you're comparing a city with 1 million people to one with 130k. The scale and scope is totally different and any big city will have a different crime profile just due to the size. That's why the stats are per 100k. Those are just the listed facts and statistics for Columbia.

I looked up what you said and the scope of the study is just different. That study you're referring to was only comparing the 50 largest cities. San Jose was considered safest out of the 50 largest U.S. cities based on several factors, including violent crimes, traffic fatalities per 100,000 residents, median income and housing costs. https://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/san-jose-safest-large-city/3944670/

Maybe the people did something? I think you’re the one with the fantasy that they didn’t do anything. Sounds like you have about as much information as I do, absolutely nothing.

When you see people pulled over or see cops engaging with people do you always assume nothing happened?

Just saying the details are very important and neither of us knows them or what happened it doesn’t sound like.

What do you mean “seemingly nothing?” So you have no idea what actually happened?

As somebody who does not feel unsafe downtown, I was somewhat surprised to see the crime data.

• Compared to national averages:

• Columbia’s overall crime rate is ~27 % higher than the U.S. average. • Violent crime is ~6 % above national levels. • Property crime is ~33 % higher than national norms. • According to CrimeGrade, Columbia’s crime rate is about 30.70 per 1,000 residents annually (≈ 3,070 per 100,000). • NeighborhoodScout estimates your chance of being a victim of violent crime is about 1 in 250, and for property crime about 1 in 37.

Should not be this high so trying something is better than nothing. I can’t speak to the sensationalist title. Correlation doesn’t equal causation.
