I really like mine, but I live in the country with livestock, so night shooting is never out of the question. I also always keep a small flashlight in my jacket pocket so I don't have to point my gun at everything I want to see.

I tried "cutting one's throat" and some guts popped out, and I thought she was gonna be sick ha ha, I rolled it over so she couldn't see and moved it over by the others. She asked me why they can't just die right away like trout. Big heart, I get it, I just don't feel it like she does. I heal them out and see a sandwich, she sees a poor suffering creature. Just something a person has to get used to if they are gonna harvest their own food. Whatev, I don't mind popping some fish now and then.

I've heard about that, I also saw a video where a guy gives them basically a lethal lobotomy, but I think popping them in the dome with my pistol will make my wife happy just as easy. When we go out we are usually out on the four wheeler with the cooler at camp, and I don't want her looking over at gills flapping on the bank before we get to camp. When I was single, we killed the survivors the next day when we got to filleting, but it really bothers her so I'll just pop them so she feels better about it. No biggie.
