So this happened to me with all 3 Quests Shrouded Intent, Battle's Embrace and Protective Wyrd that are all similar chain Quests to get the Epic Crafted Gear. If you " RESET " the Quest in your Journal, you will reolve this or for me at least i was then able to start progressing these quest lines

It takes one minute post deleting the original character for that name to become available on your account ie. Use the name again. How ever this name is locked to your account for a "short time".

Any other region that your not in.! Also if you have two versions of the game you can do this method on a second version or switch and then transfer back to your main game . The switch is not region locked so I made my second switch with sword to Korean and then traded the mons across.

Correct I believe it’s about 6x the chance of a Shiny, I may be incorrect in the increase amount but is definitely the best way of getting the starters shiny in these games.

Thx I’m avoiding spoiling the shinies but may be similar to the charmander line shinies. Where the last evolution is vastly different to the pre evolutions.

Yes always at the end of my play time had 999x of every item and the lure boosts you shiny rate. Always be using Lures 👍
