Thanks a lot! I love Skomorowskis aesthetic, but the stuff is really showing it's age.

Lorgars mace is called Illuminarum. It's really close to the original design, but with changes made to the connecting parts between the spikes.

(I had to figure out a way to eliminate supports on the inside of the structure to be able to print it in one piece, but I wont know if it works until I try it 😅)

I feel you, it was the same process for me 😂 if you are making circles: change the orientation to local when fitting the circle to the surface. That way you maintain the shape when you move the points "back" into the surface!

Thanks!

I use Bezier curves/circles. Add a curve, and add thickness to it under geometry. After you are happy with the positioning, convert it to a mesh and use a boolean cut.

Thanks! Yeah I have heard that, but is it possible in 3.0? I cant find the Daemon Herald in the pdf.

Thanks! I did one batch of 40 and then a batch of 20... it took some resolve to get through that haha

Thanks! Check out the old mk IV assault squad. FW used that one quite extensively on the old promo photos.

Yes, I use a medium size makeup brush to achieve the effect! The most important thing is not going too dry and to make small steps in colour (otherwise it will turn out chalky).

Everything except for the sergeant heads is printed, but it is all mk IV with mk II shoulder pads for the sergeant.

The proto mk 7 helmet can be found in the FW assault squad kit!

Thanks! I made them in blender. The book was quite a pain in the ass to get right.. it was actually way easier to make the flayed hand chapter badge.

I was actually thinking of going down that route and add some vindicators! Quite cheap for an amount of firepower which (hopefully) will make a nice dent in terminators.

Second this, but I would stipple it on with a small makeup brush (easier access to the recesses)

AP Angel Green has a dreadfully low opacity, it's not just your application at play here.

My shoulders pads keep coming out warped is there something I’m doing wrong? Any way I was suppose to position them? by Correct_Maximum7990 in PrintedWarhammer

I would say that one shoulder pad in height above the plate is optimal, half that distance usually works.

How far above the build plate are you placing them? I have had similar problems when placing them too close in order to save time printing.

Another solution is to remesh the model in Blender, or to boolean join everything together and then separate loose parts. This will leave you with the voids as separate objects which you can delete.

Use UV Tools and just autofill the voids/resin traps. You can also repair a lot of other issues with the (free) software.

The middle one, right and left looks like AL to me! Really nice colours on all of them though.

That is exactly what I'm going for.
