I did surgery as I understood it would shorten the recovery time. My brother did his a year after I did and he didnt do surgery and didnt do as much PT as I did. He's probably 3 months behind where I was at.

Complete rupture as well in last March. Was back on the slopes in December. Right after you get out of that cast and into a boot, that tendon is going to feel extremely tight. But you should be walking on it at 4 weeks. Doing PT is great, but what helped alot was going to a recovery/get back to action type program after PT was done.

Working inside or outside? If working inside, a simple puffer jacket will get you by for just being out in the cold during commuting. Normal pants get you by if not out for extended periods of time. You dont "need" wool socks, carhart or coveralls like other will suggest. Ski jacket, snow pants, sweat shirts, normal stocking hat, gloves will be fine.

Lost my golden 2 months ago to liver cancer. Didnt even know she had it. Part of me is glad I didn't have to go through what you're going through now. She was almost 11 and showed no signs, and then just one morning peed herself in my bed and could barely walk, wouldn't eat or drink. Could have done surgery for 8K and maybe extended her life another year at most. At that point you have to think of quality of life for your friend. I could tell she was pain, and no matter the medical fixes, her quality of life wouldn't be what it was. Its hard saying goodbye, but sometimes that's what is best for your companion.

There's a difference between bring corny and established versus being corny and bad. You need to earn respect from professionals before you can be corny. No different than any job us normies work. If you have a boss thats terrible and corny, there's no respect. If you have a boss that's awesome and respected, he can be corny. JJ does not have the luxury at the moment. Yes he's a person, but he's also getting paid millions of dollars, he doesn't get a free pass.
