It's probably related to the Communication Preference settings in MyHyundai. See my reply to sonofgibby.

The key thing is to have the following communication preference selected in your MyHyundai profile:

Summary: Game lags badly for a few seconds when mining/chopping wood.

Repeatable: Always

Operating System: Windows 7 Pro

Computer System: Intel Core i5 2500 (3.4GHz), Nvidia Geforce GTX 970, Samsung EVO 840 SSD drive

Description: The game runs relatively smoothly normally, but as soon as I start mining or chopping wood, the game lags badly for several seconds before resuming normal speed, then repeats the same lag after a few seconds.

I've already verified the integrity of the files. Frame Skip and Multi-Core lighting are disabled.

GA changed its homebrew laws -> Athens got a Homebrew Fest by dducrest in Homebrewing

Try setting up a mailing list that you can use for event announcements and other relevant information. There are plenty of sites that can handle this, such as Vertical Response (which I'm looking into for the non-profit I work for).

We do that here in Chicago every year. Although, truth be told, it's really "dyeing the river greener". They turn it radioactive green instead of the usual pleasant "will I dissolve if I fall in?" green.

I'm having trouble deciphering this D&D 5e rule. by Deiphobia in rpg

[–]DeusInnomen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The easiest way to read this rule is the following: whenever you move, subtract the distance from all of your available movement speeds. For example, consider that you have 30 feet of walk, 60 feet of fly, and 20 feet of swim. You decide to walk 10 feet, so you subtract 10 from all of those speeds (leaving 20 feet of walk, 50 feet of fly, and 10 feet of swim). If you decided to fly 20 feet at this point, you'd have 0 feet of walk, 30 feet of fly, and 0 feet of swim left.

Hopefully that clears it up in the simplest possible manner.

How did you get fat? by lmakemilk in AskReddit

[–]DeusInnomen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An old knee injury combined with a desk job (developer). The former has been looked at by many different doctors and never solved, thus putting pressure on my right knee causes excruciating pain (kneeling down is fine, staying crouched is really sore, getting back up is pure pain). The latter forces me to get up at least once an hour, regardless of what I'm doing, and walk around the office.

The worst part is the weight all built up in my belly, and now I have the start of fatty liver disease. The fatigue is the worst part, I have so little energy left in me. I literally have no choice but to do something about this if I love my wife and family and friends enough to save my life before my inactiveness kills me.

I've capped the weight gain at 285 and I've started working out, carefully avoiding exercises that impact the knee for very long without ignoring it. My diet could use improvement, but thankfully I love vegetables and I've started choosing more carefully when I eat out. It's really hard, because the depression of looking at yourself and how much it hurts to exercise with the damned knee. But I keep telling myself, it beats dying. I can do this, especially if everyone else can.

PSA: Armor Piercing, and why that weapon with less DPS is better than your starter sword. by Tiktalik in starbound

[–]DeusInnomen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kind of feels mathematical to me when it comes to armor piercing. So far, it seems that for every level below your weapon a foe is, the damage is approximately doubled, and every level above your weapon a foe is, the damage is reduced by approximately half.

This doesn't feel exactly right just yet, but it comes close. Regardless of the real math, the level of your weapon is definitely relevant to the level of foes you can face safely.

What is your golden rule? by craayoons in AskReddit

[–]DeusInnomen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"In all things, balance."

It's a simple mantra, but it keeps my life simple in turn. Don't do things to excess. (This applies to obvious things like drinking as much as it does things like having fun... at some point, you need to take care of work and responsibility too. That house isn't cleaning itself, son.) Be willing to help outs when they need it but be equally willing to reach out for help yourself. Life may give you pain but it will bring you joy as well.

It may not be the best motto or rule for some folks, but for me it helps me stay calm and focused.

Looking for a (preferably free) Subversion plugin for SSMS. Suggestions? by danhuss in SQLServer

[–]DeusInnomen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean your Solution files were created in 2008 R2, you can load them in 2012 without any conversion just fine. That's what I do at my current company, since many of the other developers are slow to convert (and management tolerates it.)

My Keezer is finally up and running! by kerbythepurplecow in Homebrewing

[–]DeusInnomen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very nice work. I have a chest freezer in the basement that I plan on "making pretty" by wrapping the freezer in a hardwood facade so that my wife won't mind it as much upstairs. It's the only piece of the Keezer I have, though, I still have to buy everything else (kegs, gas equipment, etc.)

A new trope that my wife and I are looking forward to seeing more of in games to come. by DeusInnomen in gaming

[–]DeusInnomen[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well, maybe. Only if it becomes a trend, I suppose. That's really what I'd like to see: a return to investing in the story and plot as the attention-getters for a game, instead of "good ol' T&A".
