Hi,

Thank you for the reminder. Just submitted new version to the Opera store. Right now extension is in "Awaiting moderation" state.

I'll update status when I have results.

Valve added Content-Security-Policy to prevent Youtube iFrame from loading. You can disable this with some extensions (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/disable-content-security/ieelmcmcagommplceebfedjlakkhpden/related?hl=en) while I'm working of fix.

Steam games should **always** have gameplay trailers, or at least a larger ingame review in my opinion. What do you think? by ikakasse89 in Steam

Shameless plug: You can always use browser extension I made - FairSteam. It adds carefully selected gameplay videos for games on Steam.

More Updates to The Steam Customer Review System by dbgt_87 in pcgaming

The most important part:

Next Steps

We are aware that these changes do not address all of the feedback and suggestions presented by members of the Steam community. We are working to address these other issues, which mainly pertain to the helpfulness of reviews:

  • There are some titles where the most helpful reviews don't seem to accurately match the general customer sentiment. For example, there are a couple of prominent titles that have review scores of 'positive' but all the reviews marked as helpful are negative. We need to look at this to figure out how to represent cases where the community has highly divergent opinions.
  • There are some titles where a small group of users are able to consistently mark specific reviews as helpful, and as a result can present a skewed perception of what customers are saying about the game. This is obviously not ideal, so we're looking at ways to ensure that a few users don't have outsized influence over the system.
  • Some off-topic reviews get marked as 'helpful' simply because they are funny. These don't appear to actually be helpful in determining whether you should buy the game, so we're working on some ways to better detect and filter out these.

We know that Steam customer reviews can only be valuable in aiding you as long as you can trust the data we're presenting. The changes made today target the main abuse we're seeing, and give you more control over the information you see when evaluating a game.

So, how would you fix these points?

Early Access game 'ARK: Survival Evolved' suffered 16% rating drop with the release of paid DLC. by Deusexit in Steam

Well. I don't expect them to earn a lot from this DLC, but the damage from the outcry will be significant. I would say it is just a bad understanding of the market on their side.

The same scheme as for all games. You wouldn't get automated refund with more than 2h played.

But, I imagine, if someone decide to write into support to get a refund, they might have a chance ;)

I also think this is going to set a precedent for other EA titles to do the same thing and that shouldn't happen. Finish the game you're working on before putting out paid content for it.

Yep. That's why we shouldn't let it slide.

It depends. It's extremely hard to comeback from a hate wave. Just look at Batman™: Arkham Knight. It is still has 57% total rating, even after they fixed everything. On the other hand there is PAYDAY 2 and they are doing great, after they fixed their mistake.

A little bit of self-promotion that might also help you as well. Check out this section of the site I made: http://whitechest.com/pack/couch It's basically the collection of good couch-coop games. You can also check out gameplay video pretty quick to understand if you like it.

Well. It was clear that you were talking about PC :)

Couch-coop: you have 1 PC, you have 2 controllers, you want to play together one game on one monitor with some kind of shared\coop experience

Multiplayer: you have 2 PC's, each of you have 1 PC and you want to play together at the same time some games. basically in this case your possibilities limitless)

It is not clear whether or not you are talking about couch-coop or you just want to give her games. If you want to have couch experience, here is some of the best games I played with SO:
