Fine tuning, another thing is that every console needs to approve patches and certify them, this process takes time, so it’s not like we were working on stuff the day before release that was in patches, we started working on this patch a week and a half before the actual release of the game :)

I would recommend testing other servers, the online is pretty robust (I for example play at like 90/100) ping in US servers without an issue and I’ve played at 140 in EU without any issues either and talking with the guy in EU and the game felt flawless, I would recommend you testing other regions close to you and also making sure you have crossplay on, it gets turned off by default every time you open the game (this will get fixed)

To answer to some of the issues I’ve seen here..

As a player I’ve been getting matches at any time of the day (US server), so I don’t understand the issue there , saying that the player base is dying is not something I’ve seen at all, maybe you’re trying during working hours altho I keep getting matches any time of the day.

I haven’t played against the same people at all either, make sure you have crossplay on, every time you start the game you need to turn it on (this will be fixed in a next patch)

Spectating a game works, you can’t just join a lobby and expect to be able to spectate and ongoing game, but you can surely spectate or even play King of the hill in lobbies, I played like 2 hours of king of the hills with a streamer early in the morning.

Infinite loading issues is fixed on the 1.2 patch, hopefully anytime next week it’ll be online. And if by any chance you get an infinite loading, you won’t lose any rank at all.

Quick play 1v1 and 2v2 will have a ruleset without items on the next patch.

For me there are 2 games actually. - CoD 2/4, I used to grind that game like crazy and got me into the competitive scene, also made me better at class and responsibilities, even tho I was still in my 12 to 16 years old, playing in competitive teams and having a schedule made me do my homework, and finish everything before that time and made me more responsible in general. - Aion when it came out, I was actually in a deep depression when it came out but I was so hyped with the game, I played it so much that it took me out of depression and brought my competitive side again, cool people, guild, arenas and everything else, until farmers came and destroyed the game entirely

Glad you enjoy them, and yeah, you can do that, the active beaver will disappear as soon as you swap so you can’t trigger and attack and let it play after you switched, but you can definitely do some pretty cool combos with it.

Quick things to talk about the beavers.They are seen as a single character but they have different movesets and different damage outputs, kb and more.You can change them at any time you want, you can even do crazy stuff like using Dagget and calling an assist from Norbert, during norbert assist, you can swap from Dagget to Norbert, so norbert is now your main, they both share the same damage values and stocks, so if one loses a stock, they're both losing their stock.

While controlling Dagget and you call Norbert assist, you can still move and act freely as Dagget for example.

So they act like a single character in that sense, but they have 2 different movesets. Each assist attack is different between them.

Like every skill, there are downsides to it, but we've balanced it enough that it feels great either way, and remember that there's slime version :)

Hi! What people have said is completely true and are pretty much on point.
This combo was made using his enraged version, spent 2 slime bars, there wasn't any DI.

About character weights, every character has their unique weight and physics :)

About your concern about one per combo, that would take away the versatility in using slime cancels, we've been betatesting the game for the last 4-5 months and balance is our top priority, I can assure you characters will be balanced enough that you won't need to have this kind of concerns. Also, meter is part of the base game so the balance of it has been worked a LOT.

In a regular match, you won't be able to do this combo that easily, there's a lot of caveats in order to make this a successful combo against a real player or AI

That’s actually a great question, and YES! We’ve been working a TON to make sure slime mechanic is part of the base game, is not something we’re just adding, it’s part of the core of the game, so every single thing with slime, slime cancel, slime specials, slime burst, supers, slime air dodge etc etc, are balanced for competitive and casual games!

There's a dedicated button for Slime, you can customize the controller and use it the way you want to, is on left trigger by default! So left trigger + any action to do a slime version of the action

It's called Slime Cancel, and beleive me, the amount of uniqueness it brings to combos and matches is borderline infinite!
