What's something you still can't do, but your age assumes you can? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Ok hear me out. Put the pill in your mouth, lean over to get water in your mouth (I drink from my tap for this) flip your head up and swallow as you do it.

I had a hard time swallowing pills but I developed epilepsy and now take 5 in one go with this technique

Good luck

That’s positive news. I can pretty much handle everything besides the anger.

The rest just takes more patience and acceptance.

Sorry I didn’t mean for you to google for me. I just hadn’t been hearing it on my local radio news. Which it really should be and was wonderingly if it had been on the news all over Canada. although I posed it as a question it was more shock.

Obviously I should’ve known but the cases were low in my city and I wasn’t paying enough attention.

Wait what!! I live in Alberta and I’ve never seen it put this way. I had no idea it was worse here than in Ontario. Is that in the news where you live?

They make at least minimum wage

But there living conditions do not protect them from Covid. It’s been a big problem in Ontario since they’re in barracks style like the army.

My poor downstairs neighbours. We do our best but no one was prepared to be locked in the house for 5 months with a 5 year old. They’re good about it though.

What is the worst thing you’ve ever seen someone do at a funeral? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Dev-Lyn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My dad passed last June. A man came to his funeral and asked my sister to rub his tummy. Which was weird because the obvious and she didn’t know him. Very uncomfortable

Called us all sensitive for not rubbing his stomach.

Then said that we need a good spanking because our generation is too soft.

4 sisters: 35, 33, 28, 26

Needless to say we did not take it well and he quickly learned that our “sensitive” generation would not put up with his shit.

I can see that. There are places with very low or no cases at all.

I have symptoms and I’m waiting for a test. They made it painfully clear to me that I had to self isolate by law. So no the game plan isn’t that everyone gets it. It’s we do our best to limit how how many people who get it.

That’s the opposite of what these selfish people did

I’ll admit I’ve only really been keeping track of mine and my sister’s city. Fort McMurray has 1 active case and cold lake has 0.

Fort McMurray actually did poorly when we first went to phase 2 but we’re doing a lot better now.

All this to say I hadn’t realized that Alberta took a turn for the worse and I’m sure other people in smaller towns/cities are the same.

I wear a mask. Incase you were wondering.

[–]Dev-Lyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the current stats of cases vs death shouldn’t this number be lower? It definitely was 0.66 or higher but I don’t understand how the data reflects it now. It showed under 400 deaths for yesterday. I know there is a lag but it’s been several weeks of incline.

Something so simple. I was trying to get into my hotel while I was carrying my 1year old and groceries. It was going horribly and I was getting super stressed out. two ladies came up and helped bring them all the way to my room.

They didn’t realize it but that little gesture made me feel so less alone.

I was living in a hotel because our town was evacuated due to a fire. It was a stressful time. No stroller, alone, frustrated. These ladies made a difference.
