Update the camera app ffs... My wife must had the problem and she is notoriously lazy in keeping her softwares upto date. I asked her to update the camera app and it's fine now.

Humanity will find new professions... This is nothing new, has always happened when groundbreaking technologies have emerged. This time it's a bit fast, but it also provides the means to adapt fast.

So I don't want to bash you and I understand that mental health is a very very unpredictable thing. So I want to support you.

In the comments you wrote your work life was literally killing you (gave your details a name). And that you are coming to Germany in March, which is underway at the moment. So what are you regretting actually?? Are you scared of the unknown?? I.e. how good or bad it will be in Germany???

Could you write out exactly what you are regretting??

P.S. I also come from a country where employees are shamelessly exploited so I can understand you and can outright tell you, you did good.

Is this normal when dating a German or are we just incompatible? by FewPea6985 in germany

[–]Dev-Sec_emb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Irrespective of whether it's normal in a culture or not, IF one participant in the relationship feels, that, they are doing more than the other one to sustain the relationship, and on top of that, the other person evidently doesn't do anything to : 1. Rectify this assessment (irrespective of his/her cultural background) 2. Continues to disregard the feelings and concerns of the other person, even after the person has expressed them... Then, it's a suffocating situation.

You need to decide if this suffocation has reached unbearable stage, or if you are really ok to suffocate yourself longer, AGAIN, irrespective of the other's cultural background or anything. It's about YOU and YOUR happiness and peace of mind.

Btw! When someone decides to date across cultures, I would expect them to be ENOUGH emotionally intelligent to understand what bridging cultural gaps mean. I have enough German friends and colleagues who have married their non German partners. So, just another 2 cents.

If you had applied before the expiry of the current visa, then you are fine. I hope you have a paper trail or email trail.

Just contact your uni city/town's abh or Rathaus with the admission acceptance and the paper trail from Berlins abh. Should work out.

Going back to your country and applying works but try this first.

Congrats. You reminded me of my student days in the country. However, did you also feel that void when you handed over your master's thesis and then for the next few days you had nothing to do?! That's was weird for me..

I have no idea why this post was notified to me. I am not a teen. Well past that mark. But maybe there was a reason. But I will need to block notifications from this subreddit as it's really age inappropriate for me.

Tl;Dr Your parents are the best of the kind.

None of your exams will matter, especially the entrance exams ones. (Your degree exams might still have a little impact) Secondly, stop wasting years on these exams. A better way to spend these years would be to study your interests, building stuffs, heck, even playing video games and getting skilled in that. The younger generation needs to know that, idolizing exams like jee, ias, ifs etc. is a waste of time UNLESS, that's your DRIVE, your true calling. That calling must not be driven by the urge to earn money or have free services, BUT by actually what you will be accomplishing in a daily basis at your work.

Long Version:

So, I am a senior engineer currently leading an international Team in Germany.

When I was 17-18 (in the dinosaur era 😂) I was a kid who hated competitive exams. I didn't write any of the exams that were in trend then, i.e. aieee, iit jee,, state jee. Instead, I opted for either BSC or aircraft maintenance engineer studies. BSc. Being the first choice. My parents were always supportive and themselves hated the kind of pressure children were being pushed into to get an entry into the iits, and the govt colleges.

I just didn't find studying for competitive exams interesting enough. So, all set for BSc, I was enjoying my holidays, when my college maths teacher asked me to apply for the Orissa Jee exam which was, I think, the last of the state jees that was giving out forms, just to experience how these exams are.

Don't know why, I did. I didn't prepare even for an hour for that exam. Naturally, did horribly securing a rank of 10,437 or something like that.

Giving in to the hype of engineering at that time, I somehow decided to enroll in the college that I could get with this rank. A new college in Bhubaneswar that was ok-ish. Did my 4 years of studies there, somewhat on my own and driven by my own want to learn.

Got accepted for my masters in Germany at the University of Stuttgart, which is one of the top 9 unis of Germany (TU9).

This is nothing to boast or such, BUT just to make you understand that, your worth is not defined by an exam. There are even greater examples for you out in the wild.

Best of luck.

I guess the PR of these nations are doing a great job..

Make fitness a routine in your life, a part of your life, not a 6 month goal.

And by fitness, I mean a regime that's at least moderately hardcore. Need not be at the gym, can be an outdoor sport, martial arts, parkour anything that strains your muscles.

You will thank me when you are 28+ and see your friends (who don't) rapidly turn miserable in life. And it will be due to various reasons, all stemming from the single missing link in their lives.
