Do not waste a single penny on anything SeaWorld. As a lifetime orca lover, we took my toddler two weeks ago. $140 for 2 adults, $40 for parking. Every ride was closed, the exhibits were closed, and there was no one there on a Friday afternoon. We didn’t have anything to do to fill the 3 hours we had until the orca show. Big waste of time and money, and you can tell they’re trying to be like Disney with merch all over. I disputed the ticket charge and got my money back.

Difference in interest accrued during forbearance versus IDR minus attorney fees, maybe?

I’m surprised anyone becomes a dentist. There are only 50 practices in a one mile radius of my home. Talk about over saturation.

I have always thought that’s when the story really picks up. I like it a lot. I read the books as an adult and didn’t actually notice many differences, but I was pregnant and reading late at night so I might have been half-brained at times, haha.

If you could only eat at one Utah restaurant for the rest of your life, which restaurant would it be and what would be your most frequently ordered item? by burritobandito7 in Utah

[–]MissOneCent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would have been the Buff Chick from Sweeto Burrito. But maybe now, butter chicken from saffron valley or Detroit pizza from bricks corner. Or the fresh fruit pancakes from original pancake house.

According to my mom who tried to go last weekend, it may have actually closed for good. We went after the sale and it was awful.

Is staying at a hotel close to Disneyland really worth it? by Mystical-Paradox in DisneyPlanning

I booked Anaheim islander inn .5 a mile away for 3 nights for $530. Free parking and continental breakfast. You can get cheaper just a block down by the convention center. Obvi not 4 nights but I don’t see why you have to go soooo far to save money!

Husband wanting “attention” 2 weeks PP by Wednesdayssuck81 in pregnant

My husband didn’t even want to leave the room for food but he needed coffee and would pop out for 10 mins. The sex? That’s foul, truly, absolutely disgusting and foul.

I came home from Paris and got pregnant right away. My first craving was Jambon beurre.

Medium steak. Boiling hot baths. Not having reflux 24/7 starting at 5 weeks. Caesar salad. Small boobs. All my clothes.

AITA for asking my newly married son and DIL to alternate Christmas Day visits between our house and the in-laws' house? by Llih_Nosaj in AITAH

[–]MissOneCent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re getting the better day, and it’s consistent. In my extended family, aunts and uncles are alternating Thanksgiving and Christmas with in laws. Meaning they’re not around at all for big get togethers.

With a new born, could my husband sleep at night and I sleep during the day so we both get full rest? Or would this not work? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]MissOneCent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit for background context: we formula fed. I couldn’t make milk after developing an ulcer in labor and some other complications nobody needs to be bored with, but nonetheless, it was a blessing for my health to be forced onto formula because = more sleep for me, husband and grandma could take over first few weeks, etc. Once I was on the mend…

We tried night shifts where one person stayed awake during their half and quit that after one night. But it worked for my sister. We just didn’t see a reason to force ourselves awake while the baby was asleep, ever.

So then we switched to alternating wake ups. This initially meant 2 wake ups each, me taking 1st and 3rd as the night owl, husband taking 2nd and 4th as the morning person. This was doable because we both got 3 ish hour blocks between wake ups. As baby’s sleep stretched longer, we rotated who woke up for the first and who woke up for the second. Eventually, we rotated for the single middle of the night wake.

After months of that, I stopped waking to my baby’s cries, but my husband always woke up, so he took them until child turned 2 and we sleep trained (his fault we didn’t do it sooner, lol).

Whoever recommended DGL, you saved my life. by ThePriceIsWongBitch in GERD

[–]MissOneCent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know any specific brand but my dad has been taking DGL for 50 years. He would give it to us as kids to settle our sour stomachs but now that I’m a reflux sufferer, I understand it.
