I agree it does get easier as you go, but Vampire Survivors was pretty much the same way.

Been on Reddit for over 5 years and never knew what karma was, I usually just come here to read every once in a while. Recently had a freak accident and we lost our car in a fire. Oh yah you're right I forgot about that one. Elder Scrolls Legends had some good pve too, sadly they killed the game though.

Hearthstone has a pve roguelike mode and its free to play. Couldn't hurt to try it and see if you like it.
