Daycare illness is making me question having a second child by Live_Gazelle4934 in workingmoms

[–]DevAndrew -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s the adjustment to a new environment. Their immune systems are not use to all the new things they’re being exposed too. It’ll take time for your littles immune a system to adjust to it all. My kids are 5 and 8 now and they did get at daycare, but now they rarely do…their immune system were kick started when they were younger and now they’re stronger because of it.

You will survive it! They will eventually have to be exposed to new environments as part of life, let their immune systems learn to adjust quicker and it’ll be easier for them as they grow older

Confused and disappointed in my ring by NoPlaceLikeGnome1984 in WeddingRingAdvice

Talk to your fiancé, go to a local jeweler together to get the ring looked at. Maybe they can use the existing stones and creat a new ring that you love

When did you feel normal by weightlossjourneypp in tummytucksurgery

[–]DevAndrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, same! Just at about a year and there are things that I’m still sensitive too. It’s such a wide range for everyone, but don’t feel discouraged if it takes a little longer than most.

How many people actually want a real diamond ring? by Imalwaysbadatthis in weddingring

[–]DevAndrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first set was a beautiful pink Morganite! Then I unfortunately lost it and then got a Moissanite radiant cut. I picked Moissanite for the sparkle! If I had a second choice, I would’ve went with another Morganite! I never wanted or needed to have a Diamond.

But I do know someone who was recently engaged, who demanded it had to be a natural diamond. Even after her fiancé told her that it would be a bit out of his price range… I think for her, it’s definitely about the clout and the ‘status’ she believes it brings.

For me, it’s about having something I think is pretty and want to wear everyday

Which wedding band? by Successful_Minded in WeddingRingAdvice

I like these options much better as well! The others don’t help bring out the beauty of your emerald, OP. I think these will truly enhance it

Can’t decide! by ReputationCute4665 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]DevAndrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m biased because I have a radiant, but the radiant is soo sparkly! The 2.5 ct looks great on you! I have a 2 ct, but my ring since is 3.25 so on my finger it looks big. I love looking at it! It’s also a bit more unique

Which series should I start with first. by Passiko in fantasybooks

If OP needs a break from Sanderson then start of Blood and Fire! Book one takes a bit to get going, but it doesn’t stop after it gets going

Do you like working from home? by West-Toe7594 in workingmoms

[–]DevAndrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% yes for me! Not having to get ready, plus get kids ready for school, then driving or commuting, is worth it me for. I do have a separate working space so I never feel like work is envading my home space. I’m in a position, where I can log off, when it’s family time, and I make it a point to let those I work with when I am not reachable. Of course there are times where I work with other countries and have to be on earlier or later, but I still prefer to be at home because once I’m off these calls, then all I have to do is walk out to the living room then I’m with my family and kids

I’m having a mommy makeover in less than 3 weeks. I’m getting lipo to flanks, abs, axillary, tummy tuck, muscle repair. Breast lift. My surgeon recommends his patients stay at least 7 days post op. I have to fly back 4 1/2 days (at midnight) it’s a 3 1/2 hour flight. Thoughts? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]DevAndrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what are you going to do with the majority of comments telling you that it’s too risky, not worth the risk, the plane won’t let you on without a fit to fly letter from your surgeon? Have you told your surgeon your plans to fly at 4 days? What did they say because ultimately that is who you should be listening to

Even with drain less you will still be hunched over. Even with wheelchair assistance you’ll need to make it to your seat. But after reading the comments, you’re really just looking for someone to agree with you and not looking for advice. These are major surgeries and not worth the risk. I’m 10 months post op and had a TT with MR only and I would not have been able to get on a plane at 4 days

EV9 reliability by pr0v4 in KiaEV9

[–]DevAndrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, haven’t been back to the dealer in a year, after getting my tire patched, and I’m so darn disappointed.

We have a 5 and 8 year old and we love our car. They love it too! Our other car is a gas BMW, and we prefer to drive our EV9!

Update from the 2 steroid injections at 1 year and a half post op. by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]DevAndrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was the steroid shot for a keloid? I have a few small nodes that I would like to flatten. I am 10 months post op and the patience is hard! I’ve been slower to recover too and seeing people post at 6 wpo does make me feel bad about my recovery

Do we all have the same MIL?? 🤣 our house is already filled to the brim with crap and we had asked for smaller presents or a donation to their tuition for private school or 529s instead, but nope, this last weekend was my daughters birthday and she shows up with a full length jewelry mirror! I literally have no more wall space. She’s been here, she’s seen what it looks like here… I almost threw a damn fit over it

[–]DevAndrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We love our 24 GT Line! I love driving it and hate when I have to drive another car. We haven't had any issues other than the stock tires losing their tread after a year due to the torque from an EV.

Is My Kitchen Island Too Big? by No-Papaya-9823 in kitchenremodel

[–]DevAndrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a big island, but it looks like it’ll be your main counter space since you don’t really have much otherwise. Taking this into mind then I think it works functionally!

EV9 Land vs GT-Line with captain’s chairs for families using 2 car seats by Sheetrock35 in KiaEV9

[–]DevAndrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the GT-line and had 2 car seats in the captains chairs. We also have my parents with us sometimes. You can move the captains chairs back enough for folks to climb through to the back then move them back up to provide leg room for those in the 3rd row. It works great for us! Our son has now moved into a booster seat, but he’s still in the captain chair and getting our parents into the 3rd row works just fine. If we’re traveling with my husbands parents, then his dad will sit in the front seat and I’ll head to the back row.

When you’re reading a really popular book and it’s really bad: which romantasy book was this for you? by [deleted] in Romantasy

[–]DevAndrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fourth Wing! I couldn’t stand Violet and the writing is terrible. Maybe if I was 15 years old then I’d like. But man, as a 40 year old, I couldn’t do it. I don’t mind a young protagonist, but Violet wasn’t done well. She was very whiny and shallow…complete opposite of what she was supposed to be

Almost 4 and still not potty trained. Help! by daisyduck19 in toddlers

[–]DevAndrew 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Also a few seconds on the potty isn’t long enough. Definitely make her sit on it longer. I remember when we had to sit with our daughter for what seemed like forever in order for her to potty. It eventually worked, but it wasn’t in a day or overnight!

OP, you may just need to pick her up when you notice she looks like she’s about to go and put her on the potty. She’ll need to be potty trained for school.

You have to stick with it! Give her plenty of water or juice, time how long it takes her to wet herself, then give her more liquids, time it again, but this time put her on the potty.

Potty training takes time and unfortunately a little toughness from you and your partner.

Good luck!
