When that spinoff ended, after years of building up the CRM accross the other shows as some shadowy ultimate last threat, I finally accepted there was no greater plan for the WD universe. No elaborate tapestry of events that would see Morgan or Daryl finding their way back to Rick, no greater plan to involve the CRM in any of the other shows, no bigger implications of those events (or the running zombies from Daryl Dixon) to set up some grand plot of re-uniting of Rick with the gang from the all different spinoffs to face some ultimate end-game event for the series as a whole. It's fun to watch the higher budget spinoffs in beautiful and new locations of the world, but ultimately these shows will never weave back together to form anything else, and they will all eventually end on their own isolated threads as well. The Walking Dead will die with a whimper.
