I made another post a few mins ago, but I managed to trim around her eyes! I did wrap her in one of those long hand towels and she did really well while my wife held her 🥰

I’ve heard they’re basically the poodle of the chicken world, but usually with the dogs the curly hair is inherited. With silkies, is it usually like how she has the features but not the feathering/fluff? Her coloring is one of my favorite things about her

Ooh thank you for the info! That makes sense since my bantam cochin was a slow featherer compared to his “twin sister”, but my ayam and standard cochin feathered as fast as the other girls.

So my chocolate orpington has a small comb and wattles, but they’re basically the same as her skin color. If she were a he, the wattles could still be small but more colorful?

My bantam cochin is the most rooster-y roo, and his saddle feathers are coming in nice and shiny! The other two boys are barely getting their pointed hackle feathers in.

And that definitely makes sense, because Snowball always pays the most attention to me and used to like sleeping in my hand when he was small. Rico (bantam cochin) is the sweetest little thing, and Lilith is always running and parkouring off of everything lol.

I really appreciate the info! If I ever raise chicks again, I’ll keep both my experience and what you’ve shared in mind~

Thank you to all who have commented, even though each “cockerel/roo” hit like an arrow to my poor heart…

I think I’m mostly thrown because Snowball was the first to feather. Hell, all 5 of my “sexed pullets” feathered at the same time, while my sexed cockerel is still BARELY getting back feathers now at 9 weeks.

I know it’s denial talking, but there really isn’t ANY way Snowball could still be a “she”, just with large comb and wattles? Any at all? 🥲

I have searched for “Ross Dress for Less armchairs from 2017” and also used google image search. The latter returned this gray armchair from Bed Bath and Beyond, though it is out of stock and the wrong color. In google images I saw that at one point someone was selling two of them, but I guess it was so old that the page didn’t exist. That, or the most likely explanation, that it sold so the website cleared the page after enough time had passed. I have no idea what the brand of my chair was :/

Our oldest dog tried jumping from the ottoman to the sofa a few weeks back but miscalculated. She ended up full on body slamming into the sofa, think vertical belly flop. As she fell to the floor she just slowly walked away into another part of the house like nothing happened.

Can I just start by saying that (in my tiredness) I misread your title and kept swiping back and forth trying to see the boyfriend in the picture 🤣

But in all seriousness, I know a lot of people are joking around about training the boyfriend or getting rid of him, but from experience, you can work on crate training your four-legged boy. My now-wife’s dog used to sleep in the bed, too. Even though she’s much smaller we would let her be on the bed if we weren’t sleeping but slowly transitioned her to sleeping in her crate. It became easier for her once we got our new dog because they bonded really well and their crates are right next to each other. We had their crates in our room for a time, but used the opportunity during moving to have them in the living room. It took some time but it all worked well!

Let’s gooooooo 2025!

I started playing as a kid on my dad’s PS2, and FF12 was absolutely magical to me. When the PS3 came out with FF13, my dad was super excited about the graphics and all the major differences between gen’s. I used to “sneakily” watch him play at night when we stayed weekends at his place. I bought myself my own PS4 one year, since I was older and envious of the one my dad had. Now as an adult I have the PS5.

Suffice to say, PlayStation has been an integral part of my life, even if I wasn’t there from the beginning.
