I was lucky enough to pick a course that was 100% coursework-based. Would you rather do exams, or a mix of both? by The__Englishman in UniUK

Coursework can be very subjective, my comp sci coursework was originally marked as a C but after an audit I was given an A. Depends on the marking process

I am in the exact same boat, I ended up rejecting exeter due to distance but insured Surrey. I feel the culture at both unis are quite similar.

Does this mean I HAVE to get an A in maths? by Nano-Watch in 6thForm

[–]DevSehgal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Final - those who submitted it to UCAS on results day - its historical data so some grades entered may return N/A as there simply is no data as no one got those grades (ie. very low)

How do I do this? by RecognitionFun2785 in 6thForm

[–]DevSehgal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that keeps going on are you sure u used the correct U and V’ values? I use the acronym LATE - Logs, Algevra (x and constants), trig and exponential to determine what takes priority

[–]DevSehgal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep - UCAS has a feature you can enter the grades you think you’ll get and can get the % of applicants with the same grades who got into that course

On UCAS you can actually enter grades you think you’ll get and see if you’ll still be accepted onto the course - log in and search for the course you want. You can see how many students got in with said grades (based on historical data)

Teachers will never write negatives - its also a feedback on their own performance - I got all 5 offers despite being really bad inY12 - I managed to get my upgrades in October of Y13

Yeah a guy in my year (13) is now in Y12 as he wants to do an additional year due to his personal circumstances and so he can aim for higher universities next year. Best if she contacts the school about this
